Question for the tall guys
I bought an 08 Spyder last month and i'm looking for a highway winshield for it. I'd like to hear from the guys in the 6'4"ish crowd on their choices.
thanks

Question for the tall guys
My husband is 6'4" and has the Madstad and is very happy. I am sure he will chime in on this thread.

welcome
I'm only 6'-2"ish, but the CHAD does well for me. The wind goes right over the top of my head, with no bobblehead issues. My only regret is getting clear instead of smoke. (filed under lessons learned)
You will find many opinions here, all good. It really will boil down to your personal preference. Many folks have bought more than one before being satisfied.

Welcome, Spyderlover! I can't help with your question, being vertically challenged, 5ft8. But I ryde through your town a lot. If you spot a yellow Spyder, chances are, it's me.

I'm puny...at 6'0", but I would highly recommend an adjustable. The Madstad and CHAD are the best choices there, as they adjust for both height and angle. The Madstad bracket can be purchased separately, and a couple of folks have used that bracket and the Givi windsield. The Givi is nice looking. Not as much hand protection as some, though.

Sorry, but I am too short to offer any advice on the right windscreen for you.

I am just a tad over 6'3" and right now I am using the Ultra Touring Winshield. It is working pretty well for me, though sometimes I wonder if it is as effective as it could be. It sounds like there may be alternative solutions out there that may work better. Since this my first, I don't have anything elase to compare it to.
Under normal circumstances This windshield is great. But here in the S.F. Bay Area this time of year the wind gets pretty rough and I do get the occasional blast over the top. Protection from rain coming at you though is very good. Overall I cannot complain a bit about this shield. Looks pretty good too!

My bf is 6'6 and I got the madstad with the 20" shield for us. It took some adjustment, but we got it working for both of us.

I am 6'2" and have had a CHAD for 14 months. I agree with Texmac.

I agree, again.

The CHAD smoke, is really just black "dots" which get more dense toward the mounting points at the bottom. The top, say, 1/2 or 2/3 or so is clear.

Well, maybe not opinions all good. Mine are junk.

Agreed one more time. I'm on my third shield, my second one I modified (bent, cut, rebent, recut, reground) often.
Good luck and welcome!

6' 2" here and the CHAD is ok... Still get too much wind noise and buffeting but maybe I have a longer torso than some others here. THe CHAD was a huge improvement over my stock shield... I'm thinking of adding a lip to it for a couple more inches of height.
