    Default GloRyder install

Is there a way to put the GloRyders on without removing the wheels? Just got mine and need to install.

take the center hubs out of the wheels and put the inner ring in that way. The workspace is tight and you will get about an 1/8th turn on the allen wrench with each try---but the ring eventually gets tourqued down. Its just as bad to take the wheels off and do it from the back side. Same issue--you get about 1/8th turn on the allen wrench. Ive done it both ways and prefer not jacking up the bike and taking the wheels off. The work is worth it though--the GloRyders look great. Purple on the red bike, orange on the black bike.

Good Question! I just Ordered A Yellow Set and asked when I made the purchase. They said it is easier to do with the wheel mounted because there is not much room for the bolts. Just have to be place something between Screwdriver & center cover.

What color did you happen to get by the way?

It is not an easy install as you are effectively pinning the three screws into the metal...you have to go slowly with each screw...and tighten a bit and move to the next, etc...or else you'll push the thing off.

I could swear that the thing was gonna gome off with one good bump but it appears to be staying just fine. Also, rotate the tire with each screw tightening...it will give you a better approach to the screws...take your time and don't get frustrated...it is not easy to do and if you rush, you'll have to start over again...

Once on, they do a great job...I was out at night and stood over the bike to see the outside rim...sweet!

I have the yellow too...they look great!

Takes a little time, but fairly easy install.

We have over 6700 miles on ours, they do not come lose, and have never had any problems, only good comments from those who see them, would like to have a remote for them, keep up the good work,KURT.

I love mine...you have to admit that there's that inkling of thought that they might come off with a big bump...but they don't! I have yellow and think they look great! I recommend them...

I put mine on without taking the wheels off and they have been on a year without any problems. If you are in the north, like me, I would recommend taking out the electronics, removing the batteries and storing them in the winter to keep them from oxidizing or the battery leaking if you keep your spyder outside or in an unheated garage in the winter.
