Default WHAT IS UP WITH KEWL METAL?

I placed an order March 6th, and I'm still waiting. They are impossible to reach via phone. I have also emailed as well. Not happy at all.

    Default Me too.

I ordered handlebars for the Laughlin Riverrun over three weeks ago. I was told they would be shipped in 1 or 2 weeks. They never arrived. So I'm here in Laughlin with stock bars and my short little arms. Bummer..heavy sigh..

What did you order? The new risers? I got a set from KM's 1st production run. I ordered the set 2/09 but they did not ship until 3/04. It was 1st come 1st serve. Hopefully you will get what you ordered soon. I have a few of KM products and they are top notch!

    Default Adjustable Bars

I understand back order but, if it's going to take over a month please don't tell me two weeks. The other stuff (hyper light, triple, and grips)I wish I had gotten from ESI. My whole order is on hold waiting on the bars. When ever they come in, I will enjoy them even more. Getting ready for three trips. Memphis, MB-SC, and the windy city.

I also have a few items on backorder now a couple of weeks but I have faith in them to ship as soon as they can. I'll bet Matt will respond to this thread.

I have ordered items twice from them and each time I had to call and e-mail several times before my items were delivered . I really like a lot of the stuff they have I just don't like spending a lot of time checking on the status of my order.

I have some Kewl Metal stuff on my Victory which I am very happy with but hopefully Matt sees your post. Great products Matt but you do need to do a better job of informing customers of wait times and product deliveries. This is not the first post of this nature.

I ordered the GPS mount for the RT from KM.
When, in the fullness of time, my order arrived, the merchandise was quite nice, but yeah, I got the same tun around that everyone got from phone and e-mail.
I have no evidence. but if I was speculating, I'd suspect that they have grown too fast for them to keep up with,

    Default kewl metal

wow , seems like some things do not change, had the same issue almost 2 years ago, with the spyder grille, not only did I keep getting the run-a-round for delivery times , but when it finally showed up I was aghast, by the quality, fit and finish. several hours later with a die grinder, some emery and a friend who is a painter, it looks not bad. That ended my relationship with these people. sure they wanted pics and all, but never good enuf to beleive the customer. oh well live and learn.

ISCI is a dealer for Kewl Metal. We do stock several items that they produce. I do know that keeping everything in stock can be very tough. If I can be of help let me know. We are also a delaer for Corbin as well as GIVI.

I ordered some Elka shocks from Kewlmetal today. I told them that they were getting some bad press on this site and for them not to f%#k me over. I ordered the shocks to be delivered 2nd Day Air. I'll keep y'all posted as to how they do.

I just got a notice from UPS that my Elka's will be delivered on the 29th. I ordered them from KewlMetal a bit over 2 weeks ago. Elka wants 1 week to build them so I'm pretty happy with them. Also talked with Matt quite abit about the shocks, pretty helpfull guy. Don't have any other experience with them but so far I'm happy.

I ordered my Elka's on April 28. I am still waiting although it has only been a little more than 1 week. I emailed Kewlmetal and they told me that Elka was custom-building the shocks and that they would be shipped in a week or so. So far things seem to be OK.

Received my luggage rack and backrest the other day it took a little over 2 weeks, not bad as they told me 2 weeks originally. They did respond to my email at 2 weeks. This is my second large purchase with them and I 'm satisified not only with the service but the quality of their products.

The service is good...I have found them to be nice to work with...however, although the mirror extensions were good for a first generation product, the foot pegs/brackets are poorly designed...see the other thread...you can't get these things to stay where you want them to no matter what you do. If you want an arm/bar to stay still, having a single bolt into the bracket ain't gonna stop it from rotating all over the place...you would have to triangulate it to get it to stay still...not a good design, as is...

I think I would contact Matt and ask for my money back based on what you've said concerning the poor design. They should always stand behind their products if their at fault.

Yeah, it happens, usually to me. I ordered the mirror extensions and the SILVER Spyder radiator cover, mirror extensions came in and a RED Spyder cover. Got in touch with them via email - they apologized and said they would send the correct one out. 1-2-3-4 weeks later with an email to them a week they finally responded and said the powdercoater was holding things up so I said I would take the regular web cover (no spyder) in several emails and they finally sent that one. Happy with everything, seems good quality just had to wait.

I ordered the Highway peg brackets and pegs but now I regret it. After seeing all the grief you guys are going through made me email them and tell them to cancel my order. I went with them cause they're Arizona based. But waiting weeks to months is out of the question. I already discouraged two other people from ordering from their site. If this is the service everyone is getting I think we ought to spread the word so nobody gets screwed and sit around waiting for their products. There is plenty of other sites that offer the same product. Just say'n..

Why would you personally want to "hang them high" when YOU didn't even give them a chance? Just asking.

KewlMetal... Mad Matt and Big Joe... have a good long-term reputation both here and with other bikes. Something has obviously happened recently... maybe a medical or family problem?

Not ordering because of what you read is one thing... and I have done it, also. However, a vendetta based on NO personal experience is another.

Just my $0.02. Don't need change... thankyouverymuch!

It's nothing personal, it's just business. If someone waited over a month for a product then I believe the business had plenty of chances to address the issue. Even if something happened tragically. I'm not trying to be mean but customer service is long gone IMO. That's why I left H-D. Again, it's just business, nothing personal.
p.s. You can keep your $0.02. I don't need any change.
