Thanks for the laughs! This thread has made my morning!
On the discussion of "stupid" questions; I agree on "there are no stupid questions", but there are ignorant people that make ignorant questions. I don't mind answering their questions, but it ticks me off when you have to listen to the same question from the same person periodically (usually the same day). These questions are the ones where you give them a dumb answer just to vent.
My unique question was a few weeks ago when the weather was nice and after coming back from travel, I decided to take Gray Recluse out to streach her legs. I stopped at Baskin Robbins because my wife was sick but wanted some ice cream. While I was loading up, a lady comes up and asked me "Is that a conversion kit?" Of course, I thought that was a legit question so I told her "No, I bought it as is". Her husband, next to her, did not say a word yet, he just watched us conversing about the . She finally said that her husband owns an gray RS and she liked the saddlebags and the back seat support and thought I had mine converted. He finally spoke up and told me that he bought his when they first came out and since he doesn't stop by his dealer too often he (or her) did not know about the RT. Regardless, he (they) being a owner, we exchanged contact information and went our ways. I haven't heard from them but he did say they live a couple of streets down of my house.

Question: Why do you need three wheels on that thing?
Answer: To avoid the added cost of a kickstand.

Great stuff! I've been asked most of them. One guy asked if it would go 60. I said yes. He said "how is it at that speed?" I said "Fine but time to shift into 2nd". Some amazing questions out there!

I was asked the same question by a couple of guys in a pick-up truck. I told them that if they could do one, so could I.

When they ask me if I can do a wheelie I say "Yes, but only in reverse."

Question on Facebook: "When do the training wheels come off?"
Me: "At about 130MPH!"

When ever someone asks me a stupid Motorcycle Reference question/insult about the spyder. Such as Is that a Sport Bike with training Wheels? I always reply.. " Its not a Motorcycle Its a Spyder"
which usually gets a "whats that" and I reply.. Its something totaly new.. Then tell them how much better a Spyder is than an obsolete Motorcycle.. In a polite technical manner ofcourse.. and after explaineing its finner points and zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds and registered for 200 mph they are usually asking where they can buy one..

I got asked that once before by a buddy, too. I told him: when I stop valuing my life so much.

The best one I've been asked is "Can you put skis on that and use it in the snow?" I could tell this guy was very serious so I said "Yes but it has no track like a snow mobile so you can only use it on the road when there is enough snow".

I love all these. I was stopped by policeman for "bugs' on my licesne plate a couple years ago.
Then the other day, I was asked by a motorcycle rider(bagger), does that have any luggage space, I said no, that was streamlining so it could reach 200 so fast. He said, he might look at them, if they did. I guess he thought those open spaces in the body were poor quality control.
