RT's sold out?
Was at my dealer today (Reno's in KC) and the sales people told me that they were sold out of RT-S models and had one Safety and Convience model left to sell. According to them when they tried to re-order more they were told they wouldn't be any more until the release of the 2011 model! Next spring! They even sold their demo. I asked them several times about this and they were adament that they wouldn't get any more until next spring. Anybody else heard this??

I don't understand are you unhappy with your purchase ?

The dealer where I bought mine last week has at least 25-30 RT's sitting in crates behind his shop.

I hope they are sold out
I hope they are sold out of the RT's.
Maybe BRP can Concentrate on my Trailer, I ordered it in February, I still have no Idea when it will be here.
I was told at one time that I would have it about a month ago, then, that trailer that was coming, was not mine, and it went to someone else.
That sucks when I have already paid for it two and a half months in advance and nothing. Not even an Idea.
Communication from BRP to the Dealer SUCKS big time.
You would think that after 2-1/2 Months that BRP would be able to schedule a PRE-ORDERED item into their manufacturing facility.
Were basically financing them, with our pre-orders.
I am starting to get a little frustrated.

Touring Model
I was told a couple of weeks ago, by LEISURE LIFE SPORTS, that BRP has cut down production numbers, due to the recession and he will only get, maybe 2 more by the end of summer. Im in Omaha

Again,
My dealer has 5-7 trailers sitting in crates behind his shop. BRP's facility is operating on 3 shifts to keep up with demand.
I would think your dealer is the problem.

Not shipping an order that been in for a while
Vordak,
Of coarse there millions of them where you are, your close to the production facility, and in the same country. That makes a big difference.
But once they have to cross the boarder, and have things shipped, things are different.
My dealer just brought in three new RT's I would think that they would be on their truck but I will check it out with BRP, and get down to the bottom of this.
I will call BRP, on Monday and find out if it's BRP or my dealer.

Anyways this past saturday Fun bike Center in San Diego told me the same thing about no more RT's for the year. I was thinking it was BS, maybe not?

My RT is scheduled for manufacture the first week of May. It was ordered by my dealer so I did not actually place the order, I bought what they ordered months ago.

It's a roll of the dice, hope your lucky
rineer4635 Congrats on the RT,
I hope you have more luck, Than I do.
I guess if you DON"T Order any extras, you may be alright.
I ordered a Trailer over 2-months ago, I can't get the trailer, Heck I can't even get an answer from BRP as to when it will ship
It is not good to deal with a manufacturer, that is either to busy for the customer that they have received full payment but failed to deliver product in a timely fashion,
Or too under staffed to reply to the needs of their customers
It kinda makes you wonder about that new RT now doesn't it.

RT
Was at my dealer and he told me his order of 15 was cancelled because they can't produce enough engines fast enough. So he is now only getting 4 trailers instead of the 15 they ordered and only 4 RT-S. That's my story and I'm stickin to it, only going by what I was told. Not my fault!!!!!

The blue RT-S I ordered was delievered to the dealer this morning. They will have it ready to pick up tomorrow some time. Tomorrow will be exactly three weeks from when I ordered it. This unit came straight from BRP...not another dealer.

BRP told you on the phone 2 days ago they had lots of trailers sitting around. I've phoned 5 dealers in your state who have lots of trailers in stock.
You're blaming BRP when I still believe your dealer is stringing you along. BUT, you are most certainly entitled to believe whatever you want...

An Answer in One day
WOW! rineer 4635,
You actually got an answer, from a dealer, and it only took you one day.
wow! WOW WOW! WOW WE!!!
I finally received an answer back today, after 60-days, But it only took 2-days, from BRP direct, because I could not get a direct answer back from my dealer as he would blame BRP for not having an answer.
Where is your dealer located. Wow!, one day!, WOW!!!!!
I like that.

Answer Back yet
Hey Vordak,
I never did get an answer(E-Mail) back from my Dealer.
Carlo at BRP called me, I was out so he left a message, he said that BRP is very interested in getting me my trailer, and that mine would ship either April - May, they could not promise when, and that he had just talked to my dealer about it.
I sent Carlo a e-mail (I prefer everything in e-mail) saying that all I was looking for from day-1, was just a delivery date, something, anything!!!
Carlo said, If I had any problems or needed anything, for me to call his direct phone number.
I let Carlo know that I really appreciated some correspondence back, since I had no Idea what was happening, My dealer turned it around and said that he had been communicating with me. Funny I dont have any e-mail(s) to back that up.
My Dealer said they would send me E-Mail's regarding my order when i bought the Spyder & Trailer.
I received, I think 1ea. e-mail, It wasn't even about my order it said my dealer received 3ea. new RT's.
I thought that was news about my trailer, NO! i don't think so.
I have to say, my dealer has worked to get my Spyder up and running and I do appreciate that, But this lack of communication is a real pisser.
His ability to keep a happy customer must include follow up, & communication via E-Mail.
Maybe it was all my years working for NASA doing subcontracts, follow up to me is vital.
I say this Vordak because my dealer monitors all my posts here on Spyderlovers forum.
The trailers sitting around at BRP, were probably were not Blue ones.

RT delays
As a long time member, I have noticed that when there are 'issues' with a production model...they slow or stop production. This is not bad thing; the pause allows them to 'fix' or update everything on the floor, warehouse, etc. Much cheaper than a recall. I was told to expect my RT in May. I believe they will fill all the pre-orders before sending out showroom stock.
If they delay into the 2011 model, how could they force the pre-purchase people to pay the difference (2010 vs. 2011) or want to buy a 2010 that is now technically a year old? I think that happened to a car years ago and it ruined the value, someone with more auto knowledge would remember.
