    Default Windshield

Has any one removed the windshield on the RT? Am wanting to power coat the silver parts.

I think Dave01 removed his windshield to powder coat the mounting brackets. I think there's a thread on here somewhere, try a search for it.

The chrome trim slides up and pops off to reveal the bolts holding the shield. Be sure to place a piece of paper above the trim on the shield before sliding the trim up to protect the shield. I would powder coat the handlebars also in satin black. The silver glares on the display when the sunlight is at the right angle. I think the foot pegs and passenger boards would also look good in satin black. Then the rear wheel in black chrome to match the front and add Glo ryders to the front and LED's to the rear section. I rode Jason's RT for two day while my GS was being serviced.

My first thought was to do it in satin but after looking at he bike from my eyes view I am going with gloss black to add some contrast.
