    Default Can Am Spyder Creation

I would love to tour the Can Am Spyder RT manufacturing facility in Canada.

I wonder if it is possible to take a tour, and see them building the Spyders, maybe they would give me a shirt, or maybe a Rotax 1400cc motor, that can be easily transplanted into our RT's

It would be a nice ride to Canada, June through August.

    Who's up for a tour.

I know some have tried to have a tour and where unsuccessful . Maybe if we get a group together and schedule a tour that would work ?

For those folks new-er to this message board (and for those who need a bit of nostalgia) here are some collected links to the Homecoming 2008 event.

It was our first trip to downtown Canada, and absolutely one of the best weekends I have had thanks to BRP and so many of you all.

And, yeah--there were free t-shirts and a tour of the factory...

The Rotax engines are built in Austria.

    Wow! Nice video,

I am in, when do we go?

What was the time frame there, for reference.

If it was more than 6-12 months ago things may have changed a little.

Like maybe they have that new DOHC vtec-i V4 1800cc engine out that gets 43 mpg, but weighs 3 ounces less than the 998cc.

    But puts out 165-h.p. @ 8500-rpm & 135-lb/ft of torque @ 3000-rpm.

The trans is a CVT full automatic that also has a semi-manual push button mode on the same trans.

That thing would be a beast.

Well, that's on my wish list.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I wouldn't mind doing that tour again. I think I would like to spend more time in Montreal though. I still want to get to the Northeast as well. One of the few places in the states I haven't hit.
