Default Wiring Harness Against Sharp Fuel Tank Edge

I had the side panels off the left side of my RT over the weekend and noticed that a wiring harness that runs along the seam of the fuel tank. That seem is sharp. They put some rubber along part of it, but as you can see from my pics, they missed where it rubs near the front corner.

Anyway, I wrapped several layers of black duct tape around the wiring harness in the right place to help protect it. Can't say it needed help, but I feel better about it now & you might agree.

Thanks for the tip. If it ever warms up here, I'll pull my panels and add some more protection here.

I don't remember seeing any of my wires hanging down like that but I would ziptie it away from that pipe for sure.

Good point. I'll have to look at it again.

Mine looked quite similar, but the wire was touching the plastic strip in both places. I wonder why this harness is so long on everyone's Spyder?
