Did/doing
Retired from the US Navy in July 1985. Retired from US Post Office (City Carrier) in 1999. Quit stocking cereal boxes on the overnight shift in Walmart when my son finally graduated from college in 2005. Now I mess with my computers and make things in my shop that I'm too cheap to buy or that no one has made.

I'm employed at a neutron factory, where we make lots and lots of neutrons as a means to make electrons flow. Some of you ex-Navy types may have some kind of "reaction" experience with this.

If you didn't get it above,
I've been employed for nearly 33 years at a nuclear generating station in the field of radiation protection. I'm certified in and currently instruct radiation protection and chemical control/hazardous materials training and hold HAZWOPER Incident Commander certification. Prior to that, paid the college bills with a variety of jobs including food service, assembly line work, unloading UPS trucks and 5 years in the shop at a Chrysler dealer (that used to be a Studebaker dealer!)

What do/did you do for a living?
I work in a major trauma hospital that serves a 5 state area. I do it all, telemetry, Patient care, clerical, and suicide watches. All while going to nursing school.
The other half is a retired master chief in the NAVY. And is a nuclear and electrical engineer for a company that works with DOD. Assembling and dismantling nuclear weapons.
No wonder he can't fix a leaky faucet. Lol

I retired as Public Works Director for 25 years. I wonder how I could keep up with everything while working, as it seems like I have more than enough things to do while being retired, but loving every minute of it.
