    Default Mileage

Has anyone checked miles per gallon on their new Spyder yet? I'm afraid too, cause it's suckin' it up real bad.

By new do you mean the RT 2010?

From what I have read, the RS 2008/2009 and 2010 should be getting between 30-35mpg.

    Cheers.

I averaged mine at around 28 mpg (less than I was expecting).

It would be nice to have the mpg consumption feature shown in the info CD (part of the Trip screen

I would think it might get a little less than the RS due to the fact that you have the same engine but with more weight.

The first 1000 miles I was getting 26-28 mpg. Today, at 1510 miles I got 34.2. I was told months ago that the this engine needs about 1000 miles to really get "broke in".

    Default Mileage - Be Patient

Some BMWs don't really completely break in for thousands of miles. Harleys at least a thousand. Both of these statements from the two Harleys and almost 12 new BMWs I have owned. Like some I am not going to check mileage until at least 1000-1500 miles after I actually get one and get to ride it.

It's coming we just don't know when because we are alllll the wayyyyy out in California.

For those that got them ride safe and have fun or work on them while it snows outside. For those that haven't try knitting and with our combined pent up energy we could knit scarves and hats for a lot of people.

I have spent my time making up wiring harnesses for eveything from radar, to switched garage and gate openers to a Steibel horn to a new fuse box for the front trunk to interior and exterior LED lighting all with Deutsch water-resistant connectors so that the trunk and all of the body parts can be taken off later without cutting wires.

    Later Spyder Dudes and Dudettes,

    Lonnie

I get between 32 / 35 mpg on my SM5. It would only make sense that the RT would not do qute as well.

On the other hand, I can tell you Lamont is not a MPG kind of rider...if you get my meaning!
