Default Frunk is soaking wet after a wash - any thoughts on where it's coming from??

Every time I wash my 2021 RTL, the Frunk gets soaking wet, but only at the bottom. Only using a normal garden hose. Can't tell where it's coming from! Any thoughts here? Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the seals on the battery cover and both fuse box covers??

If the covers you can see on the back wall of the frunk aren't sealing properly, the frunk is basically open to the elements & the spray from your garden hose whenever the water is directed into the suspension/steering gap inside/on the body side of the front wheels; and there were a bunch of those covers, particularly fuse covers, that didn't ever seal properly on earlier Spyders until they were replaced with better fitting units!?! And IIRC there might even be a grommet or two that are meant to seal off other holes in the back wall of the frunk, again, if you ever get water spray inside the wheels... and you will!!

Apart from that, check that the rubber gasket that goes around the top lip of the frunk bucket is actually seated properly - if that's not in place properly so that it seals firmly when you shut the frunk lid down on it, then that'll be where your water is coming from.

    Good Luck!

Thanks Peter for the suggestion! Did not think about the battery cover, it appears the bottom portion was not sealed properly, probably fixed now!

Put a bright flashlight in at night and see if you see any light leaks around the lid/hood.

Not on my Spyder, yet, but on my boat I have used "Kolor Kut Paste" with good results for finding out where water have leaked through without leaving any traces other than a lil puddle on the floor. Especially around my windows. I just smeared the paste around all the windows on the side with the puddle and in contact with water the paste change to bright red.
My thought was that if you remove the inner lining of the frunk and smear a line of paste on strategic places, you will find the entry of the water.

Oops, did not see it was maybe fixed already

Have used a bunch of Kolor Kut over the years. Never thought of using it in this type application. Filed away for future reference if needed.
