Default RT Oil Change video suggests using a different sized Torx!? - was it wrong?

I was watching a video on changing oil on a '21 RT. The rider said to use a 45 Torx on the left side and a 40 Torx on the right side. I am currently on my third Spyder and the right-side plug has always been a 6-point Allen key. Was this guy mistaken?

Yes, he was mistaken. And that's how drain plugs get stripped out. Clearly a Torx - T45 - and clearly an Allen - 6mm. Otherwise referred to as a hex bit.

Yes he is wrong. It may work for him, but sooner or later he is going to have to deal with a stripped-out Allen head (hex key) plug.

One of the supporters of this forum sells hex head magnetic oil plugs at a very reasonable price; I recommend a set.

Of the three Spyders I have owned I have immediately changed out the OEM plugs to hex head plugs from goldplug.com. Worth the money and headache.

If it was a YouTube video see if you can find it. Add a comment letting viewers know they need to use an Allen wrench.
