Some nice vids there (altho I do think you need to get that Go-Pro off your helmet & onto something more stable/less 'actively mobile' as you ride - the constant movement & swiveling of your head might be good for riding safety/situational awareness, but it's not great for viewing the vid!! Especially if your viewer already has a vestibular dysfunction &/or issues with vertigo! ) but I'm not sure that selling your Kona before you see how the Spyder handles the winter roads over there is such a good idea?!
I'm probably one of the few Spyder Ryders here in Oz who's actually done anything much in the way of 'Spyder Ryding in the snow', and given that experience, plus the knowledge that our 'snow' here in Oz is generally considered a helluva lot lighter in density and depth than the stuff you get over there in your part of the World, ie. Western NY, I reckon that if you expect to use your Spyder as your sole conveyance during wintertime, you might be disappointed!! In my experience here, even with our lighter & much less volume of snow, snow on the road that's too much deeper than an inch or so basically makes any Spyder (even one fitted with M&S Michelins!) pretty much an immobile roadside ornament... or worse!!
But I am looking forward to more vids & your (minimalist ) experiences on your Spyder! Enjoy!
