Default Very happy and pleased with this Exhaust from Lamonster!

I ordered the Delkevic exhaust from Lamonster.
This is a quality system at a good price. If you are looking for an improvement in looks/style for you Spyder that is not loud, then this may be your huckleberry.
Very happy and pleased with the outcome.

What is the difference in weight? And what is difference in the sound at 4,000 rpm highway engine speed?

The 2021 RTL stock can weighs 17 lbs - the Delkevic carbon can weighs a tad over 4 lbs. At cruising speed, it is not much louder than stock, it is a deeper, throatier sound tho.
It's still winter here so I only went on a short ride down the road. It won't get anyone's unwanted attention coming down the road. Well worth the investment.

I would love to hear a side by side comparison with the BRP Akrapovic Sport Silencer.

Agree with the original person that posted.

I installed one of these on my friends 2021 RT Limited. His installation retained the oem catalytic converter setup and added the muffler.

The fit and finish was very good. The exhaust note is deep and performance is also very good.

Three cylinder performance engines will not sound like a Harley, and this exhaust does not sound like a Harley.

If I were shopping for an exhaust upgrade, this would be on my short list.

Now, that to my eye looks much better than stock or the akro cans.

my opinion it's a very good looking exhaust, better than what I've seen out there for the Spyders.

Ignorant question, please teach me: Is this merely a cosmetic (and sound) upgrade, or are there other benefits to changing/upgrading the exhausts?

This is a question that could have many chime in with their opinion on exhaust depending on the depth of the install.
One thing is weight loss compared to stock muffler. Second, a little better breathing and flow. Third, maybe a small amount of horsepower, but nothing you would really notice compared to a full exhaust system and tuning.
