    Default Newbie....sayin HI!

    Hi guys,

Newbie here to SyderLovers. Don't actually have a Spyder yet thought. I ride a Kawi ZX12. When I first looked at the Spyder....it really pissed me off that they didn't have a hand brake. I'm a 20+ year Right BKA...so getting the brake to work is a chore. I just said F it and wait a year or two untill someone comes out with a kit for it. Railing my 12 at the track was fine for me. Now, my other half wants one as much as me...so a new Spyder is coming soon.

She rode a friends, because I can't, and took us up through Yosemite...she is now hopelessly HOOKED on them. Finally, I dont know what took her soo long.

    So HELLO....

    Les

welcome Just so you know, ISCI makes a real nice brake kit for the Spyder. You will find a link on the home page here. You will also find an Enabled SpyderLovers forum for other folks with difficulties to gather and share their solutions. Lots of peple riding Spyders that might otherwise be unable to ride. There are lots of us here that are hooked on the Spyder. Great to have you guys aboard!

welcome good folks here, good info too. If your wife's ridden a Spyder, there's probably 2 of them in your future.

welcome I'm a 30+ year LAK. The Spyder put me back in the wind again!

The ISCI kit is a great looking setup. I saw it in Gatlinburg and was very impressed with the quality of their stuff.

    Welcome to the community!

i had landing gear on my 00zx12, took it off too dicey for the road, I did not see a pic of your 12. ISCI makes some of the BEST stuff I have put on any bike, its a little more expensive but well worth it.

what is a right BKA? is a below the knee amputee.
I am existing right now, would give anything to live again. Fix my sci and you have everything I own.

Hey Seth, yeah I'm a right Below Knee Amputee. Good to see a fellow ZedR rider. I used to have a Y2K Silver/Blue Hayabusa. Then in 2003 I decided to sell it and try out the Kawi. Now it's SPYDER time. WR

    Default Les ~ BKA

Hey Les, nice 12! Come on down to MD, near Baltimore and ride my Spyder, it's Gimp ready. I'm a T-5 SCI. Unfortunately, I just posted it for sale here and on CraigsList. Feel free to call me with Q's. Dan 410-960-8853
