It is very difficult for me to answer/vote, I ride in the rain/and sunshine (if it rains while I am on the road, I'll pull over and put my rain gear on, which I carry on the bike with me at all times). I also ride during the day, & evening hours.
I ride from April to Oct. (in Oct, my Spyder goes into hibernation) I live in Vermont.

I find that cold weather riding is a lot more tolerable in our Spyder than the Harley due to the huge windshield and heated hand grips.
The Harley offers NONE of those 2 important things.

I think I’m a pretty conservative rider. As I’ve gotten older my night vision has tanked so I avoid driving/riding after sun down if at all possible. Living in the Pacific Northwest, winters are usually somewhat mild. So as long as there is no snow/ice on the roads I’ll ride. You just have to dress for the cold, not a big problem. I very seldom if ever ride in a group of more then 2-3 other riders. I’m not a real aggressive rider so I tend to take my time on rides. I usually don’t even have any real destination in mind when I start.

I ordered the faux leather hand grips from Lamonster but I may end up taking them off. They restrict the heat to the hand grips to the point I can't even feel it.

I am one of those riders who will ride in the dark and in the rain, until I see lightning, then it's time to find somewhere to land for a while
and have no problem riding 80mph or more at least that was on my Goldwing's.
Late Sept I traded my wing in for a new RT and got a few miles on it before putting it to bed until April.
But looking forward trying the weather in the new year

Just bought the Spyder but I rode motorcycles for years up to about 2006. Anyway, I try to avoid wet weather just because it is so miserable, and it gets the bike filthy. I love riding at night, but I have to be on the lookout for deer. As far as the cold, I dress warm but once the sand/salt trucks come out, that is it for me until we get a few spring showers that clean up the roads.

Didn't see a category for me. I ride year-round solo but only in fair weather. Wife only rides a few times a year in fair weather above 75°.

Those who say " I can't" will always be right.
