Default Ok, time for a rant.....

Just finished doing a coolant change on my F3 - S. I'm thinking the BRP engineers have their head up you know where!! Why design a 3-piece skid plate with multiple styles & sizes of fasteners?? In an emergency situation you need multiple tools to remove!! I understand the need for 3 sections, but why not use just bolts made from the same size?? A dozen 3/8 bolts would be more than efficient. WTF??? Rant over.....

The engineers sit around slapping each other on the back saying, 'Sure glad I don't have to work on this thing!'.

I think Ron is on the right track.

Its Flaming Amazing how many types of different types of fasteners they use per section. What's that About?

I think maybe it's an attempt to stuff up the ordinary home wrencher and send the work to the dealers.

I have been wrenching all my bikes and vehicles since the mid 70's and haven't seen anything like my F3.

That generally happens during assembly when they run out of parts and have to scavenge from another assembly line. It's a 2021, 22, 23, 24 spyder. Merry Xmas.

It is the punishment of Karma for countries that refused to adopt the metric system.

Ye shall buy and store multiple set of wrenches which fit the things ye are not working on.

    It shall be so...................
