Default Who else got the Show Chrome Trunk Shock "fix"?

Who else got a free fix for the trunk shock in the mail from Show Chrome? I bought their shock to hold the lid up with a rack on it which works good. The eye on the top end is too wide so it can bind up. They sent me a new narrower eye for the top but the threads are totally different size. Unusable. So I just ground down the original eye to make it thinner and that works fine. Seems like a pretty simple thing to mess up. I just got my shock recently after they were out of stock for awhile so maybe the new batch has smaller threads than the older ones. Don't know.

Got it yesterday in mail. Have had no issue with the strut that they sent me earlier this summer so will stick this attachment piece in the drawer and keep if need it some other time.

I just got mine today. My Spyder is now taking its winter nap not close to me, so next spring it is.

I got mine yesterday. The original one they sent me would not fit. With some assistance with a hacksaw and file I got it to work well. I was frustrated that I needed to modify a new part, but never called or complained to them about it. I since sold my F3 limited, so I will give it no other thought. The original strut only lasted about 2 1/2 years which seems quite weak.

Yes I purchased my show chrome strut from Lamonster. It fit and works great.

I went to His website and it stated that I could Pre-order. Did you get yours immediately?

I ordered the strut from SlingMods back in April. I haven't noticed any issue with the new strut (seems to work fine). I haven't received any modification or "fix" update for the item so far.

I purchased/installed the Show Chrome trunk shock two weeks ago. Went on with no fitment issues.
