New recalls on 2022 RTL - anyone heard of these latest two?
Hello everyone,
I finally got around to taking my 2022 RTL in for the 'Recall Brakes Lights May Stay Illuminated'. I was also due my first service.
The technician called and said when they hooked the bike up, two additional recalls popped up. They fixed both while they had the bike.
Recall - RT Left Lateral Gap. Fix was a modulator
Recall - Engine Starting Issue. Fix was just listed as Completed. Not sure what they did on this one.
I looked up all the recalls on the BRP website was the Brake Light Illumination. The technician said they had not heard of the other two until my bike was hooked up.
Anyone else heard of these?

I've still yet to take my 21' RTL in for the brake recall. Hopefully, they will find any others it needs.

Me too since March! I suffer from DMP (Dealer Malpractice Phobia).

I wonder if they were actual recalls or just TSBs? Seems strange that if they are actual recalls they aren't listed on the BRP Website. You should be able to look them up on the NHSTA website as well if they are legit recalls.

Not sure. The technician called them recalls and the paperwork printout for each of these are labeled as "RECALL".

I have just had my annual service done by an excellent wrench who has been working on Spyders from the very beginning, gnut.
He did the brake light recall (which does not appear on my worksheet as it is a BRP recall…….it does appear on my VIN history records though). He also found a console software update that had to be done, but that was all. When he called BRP to find out what the console update was about, no one in head office could tell him. (no surprises there )
He found nothing else requiring work (no “lateral gap” or “engine starting”) but it is possible they are specific to the ‘22, and I have a ‘21
