The RT43 was re-designed about 6 mos. ago and is now the RT45 , which has slightly better Ratings than the 43. .... I'm sure General has stopped production so Tire Rack is clearing them out..... Mike

Mike, all things considered, would you recommend the RT-43 or the Vredestein Q for the RT's back tire?

Which one gives the most accurate speedometer reading, do you know?
From what I can tell, the Quatrac has better wet weather performance, but the RT-43 gives a longer life. Is that about right?

Either size is waaaaaaay better than KENDA's ..... Tire mileage varies per driver and the general ROAD surface compounds for where the Spyder spends most of it's life ..... In general Auto tires give about 15,000 mi. more ( front tire mileage ) than any Kenda's ( if both have good front alignment .... The rears can get almost 30,000 mi. more from an Auto tire than any Kenda.... The Hankook Optimo can get 40 to 50,000 more but wet traction is poor .... good luck .... Mike ......... Considering the current SALE price for the RT43 it's a no-brainer, get one .....

Mike, I sometimes am lacking a brain, so I got an RT-43! Thanks.

JMHO.....there's nothing wrong with a 43. I've been on one for 30k and I'm preparing to mount another one. And, I may order another one before they sell out if any are left. Good price excellent tire.
