Cool Any ideas to dim bright Headlights in the mirrors?

Wouldn't it be nice if our mirrors could darken at night like our car mirrors? The window film that darkens in the sun won't work because it's activated by UV rays. Anyone have any ideas? We need sunglasses at night for our mirrors.

Take your finger and push down on the bottom of the mirror till it don't hit you in the eyes. You can tell when there's a car behind you because the headlights lighting up you bike from behind, you don't need to see his face in your mirror, flip it down!

Consider not riding in the dark. Potholes can appear as puddles. Debris in the road may be there before you realize it. Cars coming toward you, seeing the smaller LED lights of a Spyder might well think its a car, much further away, and will turn left in front of you. And too many damn bugs come out at night. If you ever get caught in a Mayfly swarm you won't want to have it happen again. Riding in urban areas is not a problem as much at night as other vehicles are not likely using their high beams.

If you can find somebody near you that does vinyl graphics or window tinting, see if they can come up with something you can use. Just a thought...

+1 for Grandpa. Maybe the lightest tint would help?

I didn't find an electric-controlled LCD solution but perhaps an LCD polarized film would help. The films are fairly cheap so you can try them at various polarization angles. Let us know how it works out. You've raised an interesting problem for which many of us would like a solution or at least an improvement.

I have mine so that I have to bob down a little to see what is behind. Almost 50% of my riding is at night and I too would kill to have day/night mirrors
