I have crossed over from the dark side
Today I purchased a 2023 Sea to Sky RT. Previously I had a HD Tri-Glide. Due to a recent accident caused me to reevaluate my opinion on the Spyder and made the decision to switch.

Welcome aboard rayeade. We don't see moving to a Spyder as 'Crossing to the Dark Side' so much as a 'Finally Seeing the Light', but either way....
Did you check out the Stickies that SpyderBOT linked in his Welcome post over in the Welcome section??
If not, please do. But while it's important that you read the Forum Rules & Guidelines (please note the Forum Rules under the Green link in the menu bar above our Sponsor's logos up above the thread too!) I think that Do's & Don'ts for new Spyder Owners thread is an even more important MUST READ for any/all new Spyder Ryders, and it doesn't hurt those of us who've been riding these things for a while to revisit it occasionally too!
There's lotsa good info in that thread which is very likely to help you come to grips with this somewhat different ryde a whole lot quicker than otherwise, and maybe even without learning a few bad habits along the way that you'll possibly hafta unlearn later on, even if you do initially just pick & choose what you want to take on board!
So if you haven't already, check it out here:
https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...Spyder-owners/
Enjoy, and again, Welcome! Welcome to the Miles of Smiles these things bring!
Oh, and don't forget to....

WELCOME from PA. Sorry that it took an accident to get you to make the change over, but rest assured that you will be very happy with the bike and its ride and performance and if you ride with a passenger they will be especially pleased with the ride and comfort. Let's just say that on long trips with my wife they are some of the best riding I ever get because she is a sleep most of the ride because as she says it's that damn comfortable.
Good Luck and hold onto to your wallet, Spyder's are just as expensive to accessorize as a Harley, thank god they don't have all that chrome though

I had a 2013 RT Limited that was part of the recall for heat problems. In 2016 my wife wanted to get back on the road on her own bike. She was tired of riding on the back of my Tri-Glide. She looked a 2 wheels but did not fell confident because of a previous broken upper arm. She looked at the 2 models that HD had and also the Spyder F3. The Spyder suited her the best and that is why I was on this site back then.

Wow Ray, now that's news. Wish you the best of happy trails, but you know the drill, not your first rodeo. Congrats my friend.

Sounds just like what happened to me. With the loss of core strength from a Flail Chest and subsequent plates/screws, I was banned from 2 wheels by the Doc and went searching for a Spyder. It will be an adjustment if you have never done any Quad riding but not a big deal to come to grips with... You just have to take it for what it is and run with it!! ENJOY!!

Welcome, welcome. If you take your time and learn the differences between your last and this one, you will be one happy camper. I'm on my 3rd one and put 60K on my first one before I traded up..

Welcome to the light, my friend. I was on GWs for a long time. It took a little getting used to, but I've grown to love the Spyder way. Best improvement I made was to ditch the stock sway bar for a Baja Ron's Ultra. Whole different bike.

Congratulations! I sincerely hope you find your new ride the best you've ever had. The Spyder is a different animal and takes a bit of saddle time to get used to. Give it a chance to persuade you, and you'll be glad you did. Most of what new Spyder ryders perceive as negatives are simply differences.
Welcome to the family!
