Thumbs up Anyone made Jump Start Terminals for an F3T? Where & how do you mount terminals?

Has anyone created or built a set of Jump Start Terminals for an F3T? Where and how did you mount the terminals?

I had an OEM Positive battery terminal on my older 2013 Spyder ST. I know terminal kits are available for ATVs and 4 Wheelers but not for the Spyders.

I have a NOCO jump pack. If needed I want to be able to Clip on the NOCO and get started without tearing out the whole frunk to get to the battery.

    Thx, David C.

Not an F-3 but the principle would be the same as on my 14 RT ..... I added two 14Ga. wires to the + & - battery terminals, for jump starting purposes. I keep screw caps on them to prevent shorting .... Mike

please NO! 8gauge Look at any set of jumper cables - wire is big for reasons. (Lil glove box jump packs are different ) 14ga maybe ok for charging/maintaining, not jumping.

I've been thinking of using something like these... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M69KV8D...v_ov_lig_dp_it

Still working it out in my head... What do you think Haze?

I'm not a fan of the single post from Slingmods. Then you have to clamp the other jumper clamp to the frame of the bike and potentially scratch

4 gauge might work, but not 14 gauge. 14 gauge automotive wiring would work for turn signals or something, but not for jump starting.

I have not built cables for a Spyder, but I do have cable, terminal ends, and a set of crimpers. Built plenty of battery cables for trucks, golf carts, and welder cables. Nothing to it. You can do it without the crimpers, but it doesn't look as professional. Amazon has the posts with covers, and some posts that will bolt on a flat surface or attach to a frame tube.

There is one available on another site that does not advertise here. It fits all Spyders, for $59.95

Is it really worth messing around with David?

How often do you have to "jump" it?

On my F3 it takes about 30 seconds to remove that Frunk liner from memory. Couple of pins and lift it out.

Or anybody, how often do you have to do this procedure?

If its after a long period of it being parked up or constantly occurring I would first, remove - clean and refit the battery terminals, still occurring? Look to obtain a battery maintainer and or a new battery.

Treat the cause not the infection.

The ones in link again too small, ok for a maintainer /charging. Jumping too many Amps & will simply melt or ignite As far as possibly scratch for frame ground, somewhere like under passenger pegs or go ahead & get two remote post so can have both post. Just more $& wire to snake around/hide.

Not, home made, but several years ago I installed SlingMods Battery Jump Start Port on my F3L. I use it for my battery maintainer conection after every ride. Of course, if you need a jump, the connection is right there close at hand.

If you want to go full easy with it, install a jumper cable plug. Keep it in the frunk, and carry the other end of it, with battery clamps with you.

We had them on all the highway vehicles at the mine. They hung out the lower openings on the grill. Didn't even need to open the hood to jump a truck.

They do have the plugs with a safety cover if you look for them.

Noco has a cable for boosting. It attaches to the battery posts with a long enough cable to be located in the frunk.
