What do you use for music? 2011 RT Stereo
I love to listen to music when I am riding in the mountains away from traffic , but I don't like Commercials , I have had my spyder 2 years since the stereo is an Apple system nothing except Apple will work I am told ... I have been using an Ipod Shuffle to put the music on and powering it from the rear trunk , and sending it to the stereo from the Headphone Jack on the Ipod .... but the little shuffle's are 1 or 2 GB . . . what do you folks use for this ????

I use an Ipod 6 with 8gb. I bought it used on ebay and I knew when I bought it that the battery was junk, but since it would be pluged into the Spyder I didn't care
You will have to do a forum search for it but finlessbob has directions on how to control it from the left hand grip. You can actually use any mp3 player but the only control you have is volume.

That's right, it doesn't HAVE to be made by Apple, but as Pegasus said in his post, if it's not an Apple device, then the only control you'll have via the controls in the LH Handgrip that'll work will be the volume.

If you go that route you will need the adaptor that goes from the mp3 headphone jack to the plug in the rear on you Spyder BRP may still have that available, but I don't know. I also sometimes use an old 30g Zune so I have both plugs that came with the RTL when new.

I use my Android Pixel 7 Pro, playing Spotify in offline mode, and connected to the bike via BlueTooth. You can see the song being played, fast forward/reverse thru the current song using the left grip joystick, and do volume up/down via the left grip volume control, the center controls between your legs, or the rear seat controls. 2020 Spyder RTLtd. I keep the phone in the trunk, and connect to USB power there if I also want to charge the battery while playing; this does heat the phone up quite a bit, so I don't do that often.
Ride safe; shiny side up, greasy side down.

You have the headphone jack, pretty much anything with headphones can supply whatever. Suggest wanna look at appropriate power for whatever device you choose & maybe some Velcro help hold in place.

I like Sirius Radio. I have 1 subscription that gets me unlimited tunes in my car, bike, and home. I use portable docking stations in my vehicles and home, all wired in. Then I just transfer the Sirius receiver head from one docking station to another. I usually just keep it plugged in on the bike except when I take a road trip in the car. I think satellite reception is better than cell phone. Works for me..... Jim

I use Tidal streaming from my phone to my Sena headset. I keep a few playlists and albums downloaded in Tidal for when I'm out of cell range.

Check with Lamont also for the plug. Don’t think he has the one for the iPod, but I think he still has the one for the MP3 jack. LaMonster Garage.

XM Radio
I use an old XM radio that is velcroed to my right handlebar cuff.
Right now the radio is plugged into my Sena helmet unit.
I'm considering adding a LaMonster Bluetooth unit to eliminate the wire to my helmet.
