From what I've read here on SL and have experienced with a Ride Now about 25 mi. from home. their reputations run the spectrum from good to pee poor; the local one to me was in the latter category. The big paint chip was a good shekel saver for you, IMO. In possible defense of the dealership not releasing the bike until the sprocket change has been done, that could be a lawyer driven response. A dealership selling a bike that has a known must be fixed warranty issue, bike craps out or there is a major stranding of the rider could be grist for a lawsuit.

If I were you, I would become acquainted with Sierra Cycles in Sierra Vista. There are good dealers and not so good dealers. All I can say is, from my personal experience, Sierra and RideNow are polar opposites. Good luck..... Jim

Well, Jim, funny you should mention Sierra Cycles. They have a 2023 F3 base model I'm interested in, and I already emailed them, as well as filling out the credit info and forwarding pics of my Honda trade.
Sierra Cycles is a sponsor of my riding group, the Arizona Retreads, so I'm hoping for the best.

Any additional information you have on them will be GREATLY appreciated!

I would not let the sprocket recall stop you if evreything else checks out. I just traded my 2018 RT and had it checked for the sprocket recall and it was just fine. I would try and find the story behind the very low mileage???

Except for the gigantic paint chip on the nose, I'm assuming.

They won't sell it until the recall is performed, and the part is on order. Like all dealers, they have (or will not give) any information on the prior owner. Moot points, I've decided to buy new.

Good for you. A phone call will start the establishment of a relationship with the Dealership sales person, if done right, will be to your advantage. A personal relationship is always better.

I strongly second that emotion: get established with a contact. If you buy, also build rapport with a Service Advisor as soon as feasible.

I got it. 2018 F3. So much fun to ride not worrying all the time about gravel and oil spots, and balancing issues!

I never, ever leave well enough alone. Tuesday the converter goes away. Already installed a backrest. The list is just beginning.

Thank you. The picture doesn't do justice to all the wear and tear here and there. Weird how the black paint is dull in some areas. Doesn't look like a clear coat issue.
