    Default Anyone know where the OEM Audio Amp is? 2022 RT Ltd

    My quest to improve the audio on my 2022 RT Limited has been an exciting journey of gathering information. I have gotten help from forum members, audio retailers (Crutchfield, Slingmods, Amazon, etc), and my local dealer. The confirmed speaker sizes (6) and other info about the Spyders audio system are as follows.

    1) front top speakers - two 1" tweeters (2 ohms) within a 2.5" mounting platform (marine grade-water/weatherproof)
    2) front bottom speakers - two 4" speakers (2 ohms) (marine grade-water/weatherproof)
    3) rear speakers - two 4" speakers (2 ohms) (marine grade-water/weatherproof)
    4) one 20-watt amp to power all 6 speakers

    The best aftermarket speaker I've been able to locate

    A) Kicker 4" 2ohms model:40PS42 $129.99
    B) Kicker 4" 4 ohms model:40PS44 $129.99
    C) Polk Audio 4" 4 ohms model: DB402 $79.99
    D) Hogtunes 4.25" 4 ohms model: 4405-0263 (slightly bigger than OEM speakers but these might fit)
    E) Rockford Fosgate 1" marine tweeter model: T2-TS
    F) Keep the OEM tweeters

    With advice from a forum member and some audio specialists, I've decided to look at a different angle to improve Spyder's audio system.
    I'm looking at replacing the OEM amplifier with one with better audio quality and more power output. This may be an easier/less costly improvement than switching out all six speakers (I'll probably end up switching them out later).
    I need the forum's help with the following;

    **** does anyone know exactly where the OEM amplifier is located on a 2022 RT Limited? ****

    I looked everywhere and can't find a diagram or information on the location of the OEM amplifier. I also can't find the dimensions of it so I can try to replace it with one similar in size.

    Thanks, Arcamguy

    ....WHY ... He is the only one here who been successful in dealing with the 2020 & up Spyders radion system .... IMHO ( because this has worked for my RT ) is stay as close to 2 OHM speakers as possible .... I would Dis-connect the tweeters from the system, on a Spyder you can't tell if you have them or not if the bike is moving ..... good luck .... Mike
