Anyone here tried a NOCO LiIon battery?
Has anyone here tried using a NOCO LiIon battery? This is the one I'm looking at.
Lithium NLP14, Group 14, 500A Lithium Powersport Battery, 12V 4Ah Motorcycle
The specs look OK so...

The battery is new to the market so I don’t know of any specific product reviews. Lithium batteries are much lighter than the AGM batteries so there is a definite plus in reduced shipping cost. There have been some reports of others using a lithium battery as a replacement for the AGM battery with success. I’ve looked at them on their website in the past and they do seem alluring. Good luck to you in your decision.

I believe the replacement is the group 20. I’m not 100% sure. Hopefully somebody out there will chime in.
That is for a Spyder RT

NLP20 is the right size. I love their maintenance charger and jump start battery, was looking at their battery when it's time for replacing mine. Let us know how it works if you decide to try it?

I have several of their chargers and when the time comes I will try the battery. Also the NLP20 is the correct one.

I have the NLP20 in my 2020 RTL and love it. The NOCO is much smaller physically but comes with spacer plates to match the height dimension of the original. Be very careful when you install it. The Spyders' battery hold down plate is very wide and comes close to touching the positive terminal of the battery. Make sure you position the red rubber boot on your positive cable to prevent contact. You should also buy NOCO's Lithium battery maintainer. A charger/maintainer for lead acid batteries is not the same. You'll notice that the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) of this battery is 600 compared to your original battery's 300-350. However, the AH (Amp Hour) rating is much lower. This means that the Lithium battery has a massive starting ability, but will go flat much faster than a lead battery if you leave your key on. It's almost hard to believe the weight difference of this battery. It weighs less than 4 pounds!

I'm finding that I can get a NLP30 for less than the 20. Any reason not to use that?

Check the dimensions carefully. The NLP20 fits.

How much less and what's the cost? Just curious.

It looks like the dimensions on a NLP30 is 5.0 x 6.5 x 7.0 tall. The NLP20 is 3.4 x 6.9 x 5.1 tall. I don’t think the NLP30 will fit. Maybe jetfixer will know. Just my .02.

Cost wise, it looks like NLP20 are $179.95, and an NLP30 is $199.95. That’s on NOCO's site.

I found the 30 on other sites for $160.

That’s a good price, but I don’t think it will fit.

I'm gonna be purchasing a new battery next month. So, to summarize:
1.) The NOCO NLP20 is the correct size for the Spyder, correct?
2.) My switchable maintainer with Lithium (LifePO4) function will work for this Battery?
Thanks

If you're talking about this one I don't see where it states that it's a maintainer but that it shuts off to prevent overcharge. Maybe someone else can answer that for you.

So what advantages are you going to get with this battery over the stock one besides the weight difference?

I've been getting a C1290 fault code. Sometimes when starting, even after I've been driving, the starter seems to "stumble" and I get the code. Dealer says it's battery level that triggers that. Battery is only 6 mo old but... I put one in a Goldwing and immediately noticed that it turned over the engine much faster than the stock battery. I'm hoping that the increased starting power will remedy that. Got it but haven't installed it yet so we'll see.
