Default Watch out if you installed Spyder Extras backrest rack

The Spyder Extras rack for BRP backrest comes with 4 spacers; top are 3/8, bottoms are 3/4. First thing I noticed, only 4 threads come from bottom long bolt. They are the most important bolts that hold the backrest to brackets! Other thing was if you try to tighten them, top will have a 1/2"gap that will bend the plate as seen in Slingmods pictures. I ended up replacing all 4 spacers with same size 1/2" and now it sits perfectly flush to the seat without creating stress to hardware or backrest threads. Cost me an extra $20 bucks. Makes honor to their name Spyder Extras

I sure would email them and tell them they have a problem and explain to them what you did.

Well, after some back and forth emails with pic and suggestions they are gonna retool and fix the angle so it can use 4 same length spacers. Thats what i call taking care of your customers
