Default What Helmet Liners do you wear?

Taking a quick survey what helmet liners fellow members are using for winter and summer use.
Gets real hot here in North Carolina and the Sliks I use now get soaked.
So which ones do you like for winter and summer?
Polyester, Cotton, Combination of Materials, Fitted, Sized, etc…???

I wear a balaclava if it gets really cold. Otherwise, nothing at all.

Helmet Liner balaclava with Mask in the winter and a bandana that I call my cooty cap in the summer.

I wear a thin one all the time just to keep my helmet padding as clean as possible. My helmet is a Shark Evo-2 so I don't really need any more than that.

I find wearing a skull cap is a must. Keeps head warmer in winter and cooler in summer plus keeps helmet liner clean. Also makes putting on and taking off helmet easier. Especially when wearing glasses. The best one I have found is from the following company. I like the shape of the liner and a "medium" size would probably work best for most. Their standard skull caps fit best for motorcycle helmets.

I wear welders caps on my head under the helmet most all the time. They don't cost much, and you can just throw them in the washing machine.

Sometimes even get some for free.

If I am riding in really cold weather, got more gear, but don't ride so much any more when it is really cold.

Too old for that crap now.

I use Buffs. Normal ones for summer and one with a fleece end for winter.

Summer I use something like this. Pull it on over my head so it surrounds my face and falls down around my neck.

    This for winter. https://www.amazon.com/BUFF-Standard...%2C393&sr=8-22

Bugga! I just blew bloody hot coffee snot out my nose when I read that!!

Just the thought of all those June Bugs hitting makes my eyes water almost as much as the hot coffee snot did!

But I'll pay it, even if it's something that I never actually want to see in real life..... You just keep your clothes on Vulkus, it's bad enough having to worry about Min-Min lights (it's bloody hard staying in step with those blankity blank emu's while they're running and you're trying to shove a lit D cell torch up their fundament - but someone's gotta keep the myth alive!! ) and the Nullabor Nymph (well, now that she's at least about 70 years old, she's no longer a sexy svelte nymph, so there's not really too much to be excited about anymore! ) but I really doubt there's anyone in Qld or anywhere else in Oz who truly wants to see a naked Vulkus ryding his Spyder after being peppered with June bugs!

I use a skull cap https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 in the summer. I typically will carry 2-3 with me on my summer rides. In the winter months I don't wear anything under the helmet. I have a modular, so I tend not to get too cold.

I just use the "freeze out" one that I picked up from cycle gear. It helps to keep the sweat out of my helmet lining and also tucks my ears in so that they don't get in a bad position in the helmet. Lol!

THIS; because my modular helmet provides ample insulation in the winter and has ample ventilation for my "almost" bald head in the summer. I started wearing a thin do rag" when I bought the previous helmet just to keep it cleaner than other helmets in the past. I change to a clean one about once a week. Walmart has a huge selection from camo to flags for a buck. Most of mine are red-white-and blue flag-like.

Those who say " I can't" will always be right.

When I get a helmet that fits tight enough that ît wont roll off my head, a head cap causes pinch points so I don't wear one. I just remove my liner once a month in summer riding and wash it out. The modular keeps me warm enough come winter what little riding I do then.

I use a merino wool liner year-round. Merino wool is super soft and wicks sweat from your skin.

I use a "Slik" liner - slick silk-like satin cloth on the inside, cotton outside. Lets the hair slide around and reduces "helmet hair" while also reducing itch. Keeps the hairs from being shoved into the follicles, I guess. Works well. GL1800 rider "Trialsman" suggested one to me a decade ago, and I still use them. Keeps the helmet liner fresher, also.

Too damn hot here in QLD for even the helmet, but the fun police would have something to say about that! :-)
I am a good pair of trousers and jacket man; seen too many people sliding down the road on their skin, even though you would have to be really unfortunate or be doing something really wrong or stupid on a Spyder to have that happen.
