Can I raise the passenger seat up on 2016 F3t
I am 6’3, my wife is 5’. She can’t see around me at all. Is there a way to raise up the passenger seat a few inches? I have the stock seat.
Thanks.

I have the same bike and my only thought is to take the passenger seat to an upholsterer and see if they can help by adding some more foam?

That's going to be a whole lotta foam , but interested in an answer as my wife is 4'8" and I am 6'2".
I already installed Pierre's 6" risers so her feet could reach the passenger floorboards.
She has the same complaint about not being able to see ahead of us so she has to constantly watch my shoulders to que her on which way to lean so she doesn't really get to enjoy the ride.
And I don't really want to cut up my Corbin so something like that it out of the question. There has to be some sort of cushion you can just strap on to act as a riser.

Did the searching and didn’t see any real solutions that would add 3 or 4 inches. I will pull the seat off and see what I can come up with.

Hmmm, maybe Motorcycle Dave, one of our Sponsors here, could help? Give him a call, or at least check out his link via the logo's on the Home page (& below) - but he always recommends that you call & discuss your needs with him anyway, only please be aware of any time-zone differences.

I suggest buying an extra rear seat and having an upholster person add a couple of inches. That way you are not messing up your stock seat. I have a corbin seat that I purchased that needs a cover. If you were closer, I would suggest taking something like that and adding foam to it for the passenger. Good luck.

I'm interested in hearing what you come up with. My wife is shorter than I and would like to see forward a bit more.

Just keep in mind her new center of gravity as you raise her up.

My wife sits above me and looks funny when we ride wish it was lower. Try a good pillow for your wife to get her higher.

From having built several motorcycle seats over the past 20 years, I can tell you Arma Flex insulation is one of the best choices for building seats. It can be found in 3' x 4' sheets at HVAC supply houses and costs around $60/sheet for the 1" thick here where I live. It is also available in 2" thickness, but I don't know what the cost on that is. You could use that cut to the proper shape then glued together with contact cement and stacked to attain the height you need. That foam is firm enough that a 3 to 6 inch stack with a good cover should be pretty stable. Let her do a test sit as you add layers. Once the appropriate height is attained, then get an upholstery shop make a cover with D-rings or parachute snap buckles to hold it down. There is a chance the Arma Flex might be a tad firm for her tastes so a final top layer of seat cushion memory foam from Walmart makes a pretty comfy choice. Buying the whole cushion is easier than finding the foam by itself. Those cushions come in different densities so do some Charmin style squeeze tests before buying.
good luck
