Post Anyone replaced shocks with anything besides Elka? 09 RS

Anyone replaced their shocks with something other than Elka? If so what brand and why, other than price? Thank you in advance, appreciate your help. Happy Holidays

If I remember correctly there was a cheap and easy up grade on the 08/09 GS Spyders that many of us did...We replaced the factory GS shocks with the 2010 thru 2012 RT front shocks...They were easy and cheap to come by because the early RT owners were switching to Elkas...

A search on the here may still find results...But I'm reasonably sure that's what I did??? I bought a set of new early RT take offs from Pit Bull way back then...

Fox made a very nice upgrade for the early Spyders. As did Progressive. Not sure you can still find them. But those are also possibilities. The 2011-2012 RT OEM shocks were popular as well. Don't get the 2010 OEM RT shocks. The only worse set that BRP produced for the Spyder were the 2013 RT shocks.
