Question How close is an RS to an ST?

Well, others have pointed out that the ST was a short-lived model (swell...). I found one of the sport rack sets:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/18566701696...Bk9SR8ye9vGkYQ

The guy selling it has no idea whether it'll fit an ST or not. Sadly, I'm no longer in the position to do major alterations on things (at least not metal things). His suggestion was to see if the ST is anywise similar to an RS. (The can-am site is no help with this, btw.)

If not, then not. Thought I'd ask.

    Thanks!

An ST was a decorated RS. Saddlebag options and windshield option. Cannot help you with the sport rack information.

The GS (2008) model and RS (2009 and up) model had GIVI saddlebags as an option. They were $1000.00 or so a set. They came with a mounting bracket. The lights had to be moved also.

See my decorated GS and RS...done prior to BRP coming out with the RT. In this case, the fairings and trunks are Corbin.

the pictures show the red (2009) as the transformation took place.

I am no expert, but I do have a 2013 ST-L. I don't think that tail cap would fit on my bike. I do wish it would, as it would be great to be able to bungee something back there. I have seen them for sale before but have been hesitant to bite as I don't think it would work.

My 2013 St has that exact unit installed on it, yes you need the cable and latch. To keep the Rack/backrest on. Mine has both these accessories.
