Sold the sleds, winter hobbies
Looks like a long winter ahead, after 25 years we gave up sledding. Spyder is away, already looking for warm weather.

I did the same thing 5 years ago ..... I live in a rural area, and the snowmobiling was great.... however I stopped going on weekends due to too many idiots on the trails..... I would only go during the week .... and there was no one on the trails, which was great - however if I had a break-down it would have been a long walk. My snomobile buddies had all given it up or died, so I returned to downhill sking .... so far so good but I'm now having leg issues, so this may end also - - - it S*cks getting old .... Mike

We're content, had a good run. No break downs, no accidents, no tickets. Wife is going to retire and it's part of the plan.
Changing weather, sled nuts on the trail, older bones, it all contributed.
Pete, hope you're more comfortable.

Thanks, I'm doing much better now.
It sounds like you're proactively making a lifestyle change based on your new realities. That's what Jane and I do. Our friends are quite puzzled by our choices sometimes, but then they come to understand and support us. We try to think 5 years ahead and plan 6 months ahead. Good luck to you both.

I am sorry to hear that you sold your sleds.
