...You can get a good battery for your Spyder at NAPA or Batteries Plus. If You want an OEM type check out online battery dealers.

There is no reason why a battery should fail if only a year old. Has the battery been on a tender when not in use? If not you should invest in one. I have a 2017 that I keep on a tender when not riding and the battery was still good when I changed it out this summer. I only changed mine because it was 5 years old and not because I was having any problems. Better safe than sorry.

Won’t take a charge dead?Only Year old not directly warranty item acceptable but dealer may find way **may** aside from you just leaving lights on constantly, or something like that batter would drain but not DIE replacement OEM YUASA Or Motobatt from LaMonster hopefully either lil easier to find in stock.

I just changed out a friends' battery in her 2022 F3L that she bought new back in July. I thought she was crazy telling me it kept going dead. I was amazed to find that instead of a Yuasa battery, her Spyder came with a Haijiu brand battery. So it either came from the factory like this, or the dealer swapped out a Yuasa. She now has the Motobatt from Lamonster.

I did see a post “somewhere”, from a reliable source, that said that BRP were having trouble sourcing Yuasa batteries and were using Haiju (or some similar name) as a substitute, Jetfixer. Mind you, my Yuasa battery failed within 12 months on my new ‘16 F3-L anyway You just never know.

Just last week I paid $129 for a battery for my 2015 F3 at Battery Source. It's the second time I replaced the battery in 6 years. I am guilty of not using a battery charger when not in use, but it's plugged in now. Gonna use it more often. Now about that front pulley......

After replacing the battery and having the same problem I towed my bike to the dealer and they told me Can Am shut my bike down because there was an update due on the computer that I had not brought it in for. No warning or anything just shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And just how would they do that?

Still looking for answers now after the update it will not shift into reverse or downshift i am being told my shifter lever needs to be replaced now.

I bought one 6-7 years ago ..... I wasn't impressed, it lasted 4 years, and my Yuasa's avg. 7 years ..... maybe they are making them better now ..... JMHO .... Mike

For a Tesla I could believe the "shut it down" story but for a Spyder, not bloody likely.

I'm not sure how BRP can remotely just shut a Spyder down. I'm not even sure it's legal.

I read your review on Amazon. Does this need to be charged before installing? And did it come with the cables for hooking it up to a tender? I read in other post on Amazon that it did.....
