The Day That will Live in Infamy
December 7th 1941 Pearl Harbour Day. My father fought in the Pacific aboard the AV4 Curtiss. Thank you to all that answered the call, and are stil answering our Country's call. Especially to those who didn't get to come home, or came home damaged. Never forget.

Pearl Harbor
There are so few WW II vets alive, this tragic event is almost forgotten. This is a tragedy in and of itself. .... Thankfully some of us " WILL NEVER FORGET " ...... Mike

I finally understand the true, heartfelt meaning of that phrase as a unifying declaration rather than a bombastic defiant declaration of patriotism.

I still remember in 1968 entering/leaving Pearl Harbor, while in the U.S. Navy and we manned the rail in dress uniform and as we were coming on to the USS Arizona, it was Attention and all hands rendered and maintained a hand salute and then Carry on as our ship was passed the USS Arizona. I still get choked up thinking about it.

Never forget! We enjoy our freedoms today because of the commitment and heroism of those from "The Greatest Generation". Sadly, many of those heroic stories were never shared by the proud individuals involved. And time and generations are dimming memories......

My father fought in the Pacific too, with the 32nd "Red Arrow" Division. Such places as New Guinea, Leyte, Luzon, etc.
Never forget.

A solemn recognition indeed. On another note, on this day in 1787, Delaware became the First State to ratify the Constitution of the United States.
