Anyone found a better than OEM Strut for '21 S2S Top Case?
Anyone found a better than OEM strut - or other solution - to hold the rear top case open with BRP luggage rack? I opened a case with BRP - but, so far, no answers.

I woul go back to your dealer, it appears you have a bad one. I have a 2022 and have the OEM top rack on it and have no issues with it at all.

It seems that the stock strut won't hold up the lid with a luggage rack installed, even though it's an OEM accessory.
Here's a link to an inexpensive solution. I did the same thing to my Spyder:

I tried this and the spring kept hanging up on the plastic at the top.

Thanks. I've read here that, for some, the coil over solution has worked. How did you attach both ends of the coil on the shock? What do the ends rest on? Al

I have an earlier RT and put an additional strut on the other side of the lid as well. I haven't had an issue in 5 trs now with it. But I dont run a lid rack either.

Same here. Fingers crossed. If it starts to fail I'll add a spring.
