I don't have a 2020 or newer, but I run it in my 2015 and I have the same engine that you do. Shouldn't affect the warranty. If anything it's probably better than the semi-synthetic blend that BRP sells and probably sources from the lowest bidder.

Yup, first oil change at 2200 and now at 5600 on the engine. Took a 3100 mile trip in 8 days and she didn't blow up...

I have used rotela t6 for over 100000 miles no problems but I do replace it every 5000 miles I don't like the 9000 miles replacement

I see you are new here .... I have a RT rt, and it has the Same eng. & trans. that you have .... I have used this oil in mine, but prefer the 10w-40 .... It will NOT effect the warranty ( Moss-Magnussen Act allows it ) .... The Rotella is actually a higher grade product than the BRP- OEM oil ..... Mike

I don't think it'll affect your warranty. That product is highly-rated and is used by many here with good results.

I'm currently running Castrol Actevo. I'm usually a Mobil1 guy and run that oil in my 3-Series and Sienna. However, for the next oil change, I think I'm gonna give the Rotella a try.

I used it on my 2021 RT and it seems to shift much smoother.

Why do you use the 10w-40 instead of the 5w-40?

Did the oil and filter change on my friends 2021 RT. Used Mobil 1 10w40 Sportbike oil, not Rotella. The Mobil 1 10w40 Sportbike oil is higher rated by a decent margin on 540rats testing blog.
He may have been considering Rotella but went Mobil 1.

Other than the cost of analysis kits which someone might prefer to avoid, if one really wants to know, test the oil one is running now, change it for the Rotella, run the Rotella the same mileage as the previous oil when tested and compare the results. The lab tests aren't going to lie.

Soooo many threads on Bob Is The Oil Guy regarding Shell T6 5w40. Huge consensus is that it shears pretty quickly in shared sump transmissions. YMMV

IDK, Recommended for Diesel trucks and they usually have gears to drive the valve train and as far as I read in the past, shearing doesn't seem to be a problem.

These are in motorcycle applications. Lots of reading with plenty of motorcycle use oil analysis's.

6000 miles on Rotella 5-40 and shifting is normal. I'll run it to 9000miles. I have ran it in sport bikes and never had any problems.

Hard to find Rotella T6 10/40, the choices I see is 5/40 and 15/40, that's a tough pick.

No luck there either. dr2152 having a good experience with 5/40, maybe that's a choice. In Florida it gets hot, maybe I'm just overthinking this thing.

T-6 5W40 and HiFlo filter in my 2021 RTL. Used the T6 in my '06 GL1800 for over 125k miles - no oil-related problems at all.

Hi Bill how you doing bud? I have been using 5/40T6 in my VTwin for 75,000 miles still going strong. I do change every 4500 miles the suggested interval for my 998.

T6 5W-40 in my 2014 Gold Wing for 116,000 trouble free miles.
Will be changing to the Rotella for my '22 RTL at the next (9300 m) oil change.
