For those of you who have heard of Her, well yesterday while out with the Spyder, I met and had a pleasant conversation. I didn't know She & husband Eric ( He's currently building their music studio ) were my neighbors. ( not next door but within walking distance ). A very sociable, pleasant couple. Shje was born in Waitsfield, ( the town next to mine ). She went to the same H.S. as my children. My son was 3 yrs. ahead of Her and my daughter was 1 year behind. ..... Small world ..... Mike

Lucky you! I have had a crush on her for forever. She was always so beautiful and talented, and I think her song Paris (link below) will always be a classic. Like you said very down to earth - I saw an interview with her once where she said she worked on houses before singing.

It is a small world. Found out that Barry Bales, the acoustic bass player for the Alison Krauss' band, Union Station, lives just down the street from me. Lamont was his next door neighbor when he lived here. Really nice guy. Very quiet. That surprised me.
