I'm surprised you haven't received any response. For the most part they are probably the same. I am thinking about getting mine from Lamonster garage, which I think is a show chrome brand.

The show chrome hitch is sold by Value Accessories, Lamonster, and others. For my 2021 RTL I used the hitch from my 2016 F3L. Traileretc.Com has hitch and under seat harness for around $300.

I don't know the best, but the Show Chrome from LaMonster works fine on me 2022 RTL with no issues or problems at all.

OEM for reliability and strength. They are not the least expensive for a reason.

I don't really agree. The BRP hitch is made of rectangular tubing. The after market ones are mostly 3/8" or so thick solid bar. Without going through a bunch of strength of materials calculations I would argue the solid bar is substantially stronger than the tube.

I agree .... When I was Vending I made Hitches for both the V-twin and 1330 engine'd Spyders. They were shaped from 3in. wide 1/8 in. flat stock. I gusseted the bends. I tested them by towing ( on flat gravel driveway ) my 2003 Toyota echo. They didn't break ..... JMHO .... Mike

I purchased mine from eBay 3 years ago for my F3L and have towed maybe 1500 miles - no issues. Recently moved the hitch to my RTL. This item shipped from Canada.

True, however low cost is often relative to low quality. Most often you simply get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

About 9 years ago. Mine is an earlier version where the mount plates go under the axle nuts, not the rod through the axle variety that they all are now. I've towed a trailer with it maybe 10k miles with no problems whatever.

Sorry but thanks. I don’t buy from Canadian companies when I have to pay in US dollars.

My Hitch is from Pierre at canamspyderaccessories.com and I used the plug and play wiring 5 prong plug from Value accessories. It has worked for several years and several thousand miles.

I have purchased 2 of the show chrome hitches.
One is still on the 2015 RTL and has towed a camper trailer for roughly 30,000 miles. I had a small problem with the hitch the first trip on the new bike, out to Nova Scotia less than 1,000 miles into the trip. There are two pointed set screws that go up from the bottom and hit the swing arm. These loosened up on the rough roads and caused the hitch to start bouncing up and down. This movment sheared off a bolt in the mounting bracket. I replaced the bolt, swapped out the pointed set screws with bolts, used loctite and a jamb nut on them to hold the hitch tight to the swing arm, and never had any problems with the hitch after that.

One is still on the 2020 RTL and has towed a camper trailer for roughly 15,000 miles. I made the same set screw to bolt change on this one as the last one when I was installing it, and I have NEVER a problem with the hitch. We pull our Aspen camper for two weeks every year at about 5,000 miles on those two weeks, sometimes more sometimes less, and that hitch is rock solid.

First one was purchased on Ebay, last one on Amazon.

I got the showchrome hitch along with the plug and play wiring harness for my 2022 RTL. The hitch was very easy to install and you don't have to remove the rear tire. The harness wasn't too bad to install of course after you get all the body panels removed. It took me approximately 4 hours to install mostly because this is my first Spyder and I had to figure out the process for removing the panels.

I am trying to put a hitch on my 2022 F3. The axle has a plug on each end and I can't put the bolt through. Anybody know how to remove the plug? Nothing on U Tube or internet.

Is it actually 'a plug' or did you (like many or possibly even most purchasing 2020+ Spyders ) end up with an OEM Axle tube that has a smaller diameter hole thru its middle, so the hitch bolt won't fit unless you get an 'earlier than 2020' OEM Axle??
