Default What do you use on Fading Plastic?

What can you use to make the black plastic look good again. My 2015 RTL is looking pretty gray and I would like to refresh it. Thanks for any helpful advise you can give.

You need to scrub it really well with a stiff bristle brush and Dawn dish soap. Then coat it with a ceramic or graphene product. This is one of the best out there right now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It is NOT cheap but it works very, very well. If you are using anything other than a ceramic or ceramic/graphene you are using old technology.

But be honest with yourself. If your plastic is to the flaking/peeling point, it will never come back no matter what you do.

We finally found a product that REALLY WORKS. It's Simoniz trim and plastic restorer.

Unfortunatly (for once) you may only be able to buy it in Canada - not sure about amazon. We buy it at Canadian |Tire and looked for it in a recent travel through Washington, Idaho and |Montana, but couldn't even find the Simoniz brand.

On black plastic, I use heat, like this guy demonstrates https://youtu.be/B-X3to9t8Qg Naysayers will flip, but no chemicals, no wipe on - fade off products, and I wonder how many of the "Don't do this" folks either weren't careful, or work for the chemical companies making all the other products... And Pierre would say, buy one of his painted surrounds if it's the RT's back fender/saddlebag surround.
