Spyder 14 inch rims on a 2022 with 15inch rims

Just wondering, could I run my custom 14inch front rims on a 2022 rtl that comes with 15 inch rims. What would be the negative ramifications?.

I doubt you could get them on over the brake calipers

THAT's probably gonna be your biggest issue! One of the major reasons the 2013 & on Spyders have 15" rims is to clear the Brembo disc & caliper combo!

Besides, why would you want to go to a 14" rim anyway?? Even if they DID fit over the brakes, no matter HOW purdy your 14" rims might be, those tiny dinky rims teamed with a tire that'll fit them will make your Spyder look oddly unbalanced & the wheel wells empty, & likely cause a bunch of associated Nanny issues due to the size imbalance; and if you fit those 14" rims with tires that have an even higher profile so that they get anywhere like reasonably close to the fenders, there'd be a good chance you'd still cause Nanny problems by running tiny rims with high profile tires up front with all the different handling characteristics that entails - ie, you'll also likely introduce all sorts of performance & handling issues that the BRP Engineers tried to design out by fitting larger dia rims with (slightly ) lower profile tires in order to minimise things like tire tuck & scrubbing & tread lift & ....... yeah, the list goes on!!

Basically, with the advent of the 2013's (that were originally intended to get the 1330 motor) there's the necessary rim size increase to fit the larger/better brakes the heavier motor necessitated; AND then there's all the tire related ride, handling, & performance advantages of running a larger dia but lower profile tire; teamed with the suspension changes designed to maximise the benefits of running said larger rolling dia rim/tire combo; PLUS there's the Nanny upgrades that cater for all those tire & brake & suspension & any other improvements besides - so overall, you probably just wouldn't LOSE any advantages all those upgrades bring; but there's a very good chance your Spyder's handling & performance et al would be WORSE - ie, degraded to something even less than that of the earlier Spyders....

But all that said, it is your Spyder.....
