That way you give the guy leeway to screw up the key cutting process without risking the high priced BRP key. Once he has it working nicely in the ignition then have him cut the BRP key from the non-chip key. Have the dealer program that key into the DESS. A non-chip key will operate the ignition but will not allow the bike to start.
