We have reached another chapter in our Weather News.
This is the first day of October 2022. The pages of the month are turning faster and easier. I for one really like the season of Autumn, the temperatures are cooler and the changes of the land and trees. I hope you have enjoyed the weather for your local area.

Just a quick side note, please 🙏 pray for those that have ridden out Hurricane Ian. All of the destruction on the TV news is alarming. Hopefully the number of people who have been killed will be small. So sending Prayers for everyone who is in need. ........

Now that we have some cooler temperatures in Indiana, I have been trying to get the outside work done for the Season. You know, the grass cut, bushes trimmed and a little bit of tree branches cut. Oh yeah, can't forget about the flower beds.

Welcome October! One of my favorite months. The summer heat is gone, and the monsoon season is done with too. My snowbird friends are starting to show up and riding season is upon us. Currently in the desert S.W. it is 83 degrees at 10AM. We are headed for a high of 95. Humidity is 40% and the wind is calm. There are no clouds. No plans for the day. Thought about going for a ride or maybe some time at the pool. Think I'll do a little of both. Stay safe..... Jim

...Welcome to the WEEKEND. Currently 69°F in Indiana with lots of Sunshine. Got caught up in the morning yard work and forgot to tell you about the local weather in my area.

Today 72°F and sunny with beautiful blue sky. Low around 47°F.

Sunday's high will be 70°F with sunshine. Low at 39°F.

A much overdue get together cookout with family and friends. Seems like this year has been somewhat difficult for the group. We are sure blessed and very thankful for life. I hope you had a Good Weekend and Wonderful Weather.

...Good Morning to you, currently 41°F. Yesterday I got a few errands finished.
You know, got the oil changed in the car and then went to the car wash. .....

Today it's going to be about the same weather as yesterday. High of 70°F with lots of sunshine. Low of 39°F.

... Well another fine day is on hand today, currently 41°F. The week has been very comfortable temperature wise, 70°F + so far. Always makes me feel good and let's me enjoy more Spyder Ryde Times. I hope you get out there and enjoy.

High 75°F with some clouds, low of 48°F.
No rain in the forecast for me.

Very pleasant weather here in the desert S.W. Currently it is 80 degrees and heading for a high of 92 this afternoon. The overnight low will be 68. Humidity is 44% and the wind is calm but will get to 5 MPH later today. There are no clouds. Going for a brunch ride with friends tomorrow. So, today will do domestic stuff around the house (pick up after myself) and exchange recipes and lies with friends while bobbing on my noodle in the swimming pool. Stay safe..... Jim

Good Morning and Happy Thursday to you, currently 51°F.
Checked out my riding mower, it would not crank. I guess it needs the 'star washers'. The cables were tight but there's corrosion on the cable ends. I don't know what happened ........
I guess they were missed by me. Just getting older. You know the rest of the Story.

Today it's going to be sunny and 73°F.
Low of 45°F. No rain in my local area.

PS: I got the mower running, all is good. .....

Well Vermont had a fantastic weather day today ( almost clear & 70 to 80F ) .... However the immed. and long term weather projection is dismal ..... Today is probably my last FUN ride for this season ( between 50 and 65 F is no longer fun ...for me anyway ) ..... I will probably still use the Spyder for shoping until it drops to 40F ...... good luck to all .... Mike

...Oh man, this morning is the start of cooler temperatures for me. Currently 50°F and cloudy. Yesterday was so nice and warm. I just have to remember that it's Autumn and everything changes.

High 57°F and some clouds, low of 35°F.

...We have a frost warning this morning till 11am. Just what are they trying to do. I decided to cover a few things. Time will tell if it did any good. Currently 34°F with some clouds.

Indiana Farmers have been very busy all week. A lot of corn has already been harvest and shipped to the market. A few Farms have been doing their beans. October is a busy month for Indiana.

Today's high will be only 58°F with some clouds. Low of 33°F.
Sunday's high is 60°F with sunshine, low of 41°F.

And here in the Adelaide Hills, it's the middle of Springtime in South Oz, and we should be experiencing our 'normal' warming & dry weather with clear sunny days & a few gentle showers this time of year.... only the last couple of months have been been cold & dank & some of the wettest months in SA's recorded history! And the bleedin' forecast for the next few weeks/months is for more heavy rain with temps between 3°C & 7°C over the next few days!! Except for the stuff falling outta the sky being freezing, slushy, & WET; instead of cold, dry, & WHITE, I could easily think that I was back in the Snowies or somewhere in Alaska!!

Still, we have been lucky enough to score just a few of those fantastically crisp & clear mornings where the sun burns off the overnight dew & the last wisps of overnight fog while the birds in the bushes softly twitter to each other as they wake, and up the whole world seems to be absolutely quiet & breathlessly waiting for another great day to swing into gear... only for the clouds to scud in on gusty winds & turn all that promise into yet another blustery & soaking day.... but at least I usually manage to squeeze in an hour or so of great ryding beforehand! Sometimes the change in weather sorta puts a dampener on the ryde home, but ya gotta look on the bright side, and it's almost always fun being the first to run a slalom course & drifting it thru the slippery stuff on the dirt roads..... if only I didn't hafta wash it all off when I get home!

It's mostly cloudy here in the desert S.W. Today's high will only get to 85. That's the lowest high temperature we have had in several months. There will be scattered light rain showers this afternoon. Humidity is at 60% and there is a 5MPH breeze. Low over night will get down to 66. That too, is the lowest temperature in several months. Cloudy and relatively cool days like today are infrequent. This kind of weather only lasts for a day or two. We welcome them. It gives us a little variety even though it may interfere with outdoor activities. I'll take this opportunity to catch up on some deferred grocery shopping today. Stay safe..... Jim

Here in Vt. the temps in the 40 & cloudy. The feel like temp is 34 degrees. They are forecasting cloudy skies, with scattered showers. Thunderstorms are not expected at this time. Highs in the 50's.

The new work week will feature quite weather. Monday's highs in the 50's, and the evening lows in the 30's. Temperatures will warm up a bit each day, eventually getting into mid 60's by Thursday. A bigger storm system will start to bring showers late Thursday afternoon, which will continue overnight and through the Friday. Highs on Friday will be back in the upper 50's.


( Off topic The Fall Foliage is peak color or will be pass peak color, this weekend. We have interesting areas that offer some of the best fall foliage color, 1 of many is Route 108 ( Smugglers Notch 18 mile-long route that travelers in a sea of breathtaking autumn of colors come Oct. ) Route 108 is near the Stowe, VT, area. Stowe has a lot of interesting shops and etc.

....Today we finally received a rain shower. So now we are scheduled for off and on all day rain. We really need the rain as the yard is extremely dry and brown.

Currently 63°F with some rain showers.
High of 75°F. Low of 46°F.

....Good Morning to you, currently 44°F with some rain showers. Yesterday we received about a tenth of an inch of rain. Definitely could use a lot more rain. Indiana is now under a fire watch. Hopefully people will be very careful about starting a fire. This time of year is high fire alert.

Back on Oct. 6th I reported that was probably my last " FUN ride " ..... Well Mother nature changed her mind and gave me a few more days to enjoy ..... So I did ... yesterday I did 160 smile miles, went up to Jay Vt. and bought gas at $3.69 a gal. ..... in Vt. that's a real bargain ..... Mike
