Nothing is "water proof" only "water resistant", including a 1000M Dive Watch!
Should you ever see anything advertised as water proof, just don't walk by, RUN!

My work partner always said "water resistant" means nothing. Even toilet paper is water resistant to a point

GOOD NEWS: Received this reply to an e-mail I sent to Lamonster
Can someone explain to me why us 998 owners cannot get the pedal box state side? Seems it’s available in Europe, for sites like
https://www.martinthevlogger.com
there are a handful of us forum members on Spyderlovers.com that would buy one. Don’t want to order from overseas.
Rick Gearhart---
We are working on getting them in now!
Hoping to have them in the next month or so.

I'm still debating as to which one is better. The commander from my research may require an ECU tune? I'm not sure I want to do that, but also the device is expensive. Plus, I'm hesitant to get the commander for the simple reason that I've also read, heard and watched that it throws up an error code, whereas the pedal box is less prone to.
Having said that, the commander looks like it is more robust. Whichever one I end up getting, you can times that by 2 because the wife's Ryker will be getting it too. I heard both devices help with the clunk when starting off.

The Commander doesn't require an ECU upgrade. Its plug and play. Does not do anything with the clunk when starting off as that is mechanical in nature and the commander has to do with throttle lag.

I have the Pedal Box from Martin. Easy and fast ordering and no problems since installing. I double tape the holder to the center post when running it externally and can hide the device inside the right speaker grill when I want it out of sight. Can change the setting on my phone in that case. I just made a small hole to allow the wire to exit the speaker grill when using it outside. Love the Box.

I've had the Pedal Commander on my RT stuck to the dash in front of the speaker grill. I put a piece of tape over the USB port and have been in many downpours without ever having a problem. No ECU changes needed and never threw any codes in ~20k miles.

We will be testing the PedalBox on two 998 Spyders next week. A RT and a ST. We'll let you know what we find out.

We have confirmed this works on a 2010 998 RT and we have a unit going on a 2013 ST this week we hope. We feel good enough knowing that this is a true plug and play for the 998 that we've added it to the store. Big thanks to Martin for his help on this too. He blazed the trail on this one. The owner of the RT was very happy with the results.
Here's the link in the store https://www.lamonstergarage.com/peda...er-998-motors/

I watched a video yesterday featuring a Sprint Booster. The problem is, I couldn't find where it would work with anything Can-Am.

Sounds like a pretty good reason to stick with Lamont’s and Martin’s Pedal Box, QuickDraw.

Have you replied to the wrong thread, baywing? Regardless, only the green ‘21 S2S came with luggage. They discontinued that for the ‘22.

Well, I have the pedal commander on my 2016 f3 limited and love it. But today I just ordered the pedal box for my 2021 RTL. It will be interesting to see the difference. I know the RTL will still be at a slight disadvantage with the smaller rear pulley and a little more weight. But I will report when the pedal box gets here and it is installed.
