Question How do I get to odometer to figure out my mileage?

Hey there, I have a 21 F3-SE6 and I'm trying to understand how to get to the odometer to figure out my mileage... not sure how.

I have the orange old school display if that helps...

    Thanks!

Bearing in mind that I don't have an F3 of any year on hand, let alone a 2021 model that may/may not have the upgrade dash module to check any of this, doesn't the Mode/ECO button on the LH Control module let you scroll thru the features/options on the display?

That should let you get to the trip meter display, where you can then use up/down & left/right pushes to choose which trip meter to display & choose the particular action you want, ie. select/pause/erase/whatever, and a press/push in on that will trigger the desired action.... I think...

Hope that helps some, but either way, I'm sure someone will correct me if it's not right.

    Good Luck!

On my 2017 F3T pushing the mode button will scroll thru the option screens. You can select Trip A or Trip B then zero the trip odometer by pushing the bottom button below the mode buttton.

From SpyderJerry's post on SpyderLovers - Push your mode button until trip meter screen shows. Push and hold bottom button to zero. Push side arrow buttons to change from a and b trip meters.

I don't think any Spyder actually has this EXACT feature ..... as others have said, to figure mileage you start with a FULL tank of fuel. Set either of the trip odo's to zero .... then when you get more fuel, fill it FULL and divide the miles you went by the amount of fuel you put in and that will be close to your mileage ..... the way to get the miles REALLY close, is to average the MPG's and keep a record ..... the more entries you have the better ... Mike, after reading a lot of the posts that are appearing on different subjects, it appears that the majority of the newer spyder owners want all the figuring to be done by the spyder. They apparently are not sure how or just don’t done want to do the figuring themselves. I’m sorry if this offends some of you, but........

The left and right buttons on my LH control enable you to find the odo and trip meter displays. It may be different on 2021 models, I have a 2017 F3-S

On the 2018+ models of the F3 you can get that information from the Trip/Stats screen.

    Using the LH thumbstick
    1. Press it like a button to get into the home menu
    2. Press right to select "Launch Stats/Trip"
    3. Toggle left/right to select between Trip A, Trip B and Total

This screen displays Instant and Avg MPG. You can also toggle up on any of the odometers to have that mile counter displayed on the left-hand screen (sorry that my Spyder is dirty as hell)

Hmmmm! So it is too much to expect a top priced motor bike to have electronics that work as well as my previous 2 wheelers did .... 10 years ago? Sorry, my mistake .... shouldn't have that expectation .... naughty Raz.

Yeah, that’s where a lot of our misconceptions come from, Razzle……yes the price of a Spyder is high, but it is still only around the same price as a Goldwing DCT Tour or BMW K1600GT, and it has the added costs that an extra wheel brings. If Honda or BMW were to produce a 3 wheeler to the standard of the aforementioned models, it would cost significantly more than Mid $30kusd……probably more like $45k+. BRP are taking shortcuts, but that is only to be expected when you are building to a price that remains in reach.

They may have one of these for your year, but this might help: https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/...tmp/2833EN.pdf

Button on left handgrip, works like a game joystick. Flip it back left (horzotally) with your thumb and it scrolls through the odometer and trip odometers. Hold it about 2 seconds to reset the trip odometers. If you push it back to the right, it scrolls through the tach, clock, temp, and other stuff on the bottom line of the display screen. Up or down changes the clock, and whatever.

I think that's the "on timer" for that trip. So how many hours and minutes of operation for that trip. That particular span was almost all surface street driving to and from work with little highway and the math works out. 4:52 hours / 161 miles averages me out to 32ish mph average which matches the "33 mph" average on bottom of that same counter
