Are those Training wheels………?
I was cleaning the F3 on the driveway when a neighbor and her son walked by. I figure the young man is about 7 years old.
“What’s that Mom” he asked pointing to the Spyder.
“It’s a motorcycle” his mother replied.
He thinks for a moment and then points to the front wheels “ Are those training wheels?” he asked……
Mom was a bit concerned that I might be offended but I assured her that it was the funniest thing I had heard for some time.
Out of the mouth of babes….
Thought it was worth sharing.

My smart ass nephew told me the training wheels should be in back when he saw my Spyder. Since he has never even driven a cycle I told him I still had less wheels than his truck

OK you guys... you wanna suffer through a little "Out of the mouths of babes" story? Here's one from my own house:
In 1972 my little boy was 3 years old and just starting to put words together in little sentences that made some sense. One summer night we were watching a rerun of Bonanza, and there came a scene where the guys were out in the corral breaking some ponies. Of course, a horse reared up on hind legs like they always do, and little Son jumped up all excited, jabbering at the screen unintelligibly for a few seconds. Then when he regained his composure enough to make sense, it came out as plain as day.
He pointed to the screen and excitedly exclaimed, "HE popped a WHEELIE on his HORSE!!"
Gotta love it!

I sent the link to this thread to my email list so they could enjoy the stories too. One lady-friend replied with this story of her own:
Every year the Blue Angels ✈️ would put on an air show out at Lemoore NAS which was just a few miles from where I grew up so we could actually watch from our house.
When our kids were little we took them to watch the Blue Angels ✈️. (Name) was probably 4 or 5 years old. We watched from the stands as they flew over with amazing stunts. They came in low and slow with the landing gear down to show us what that looked like.
(Name) said “Look they have their training wheels on”!

My riding buddies gave me some heck for sure when I traded my Victory for my Spyder, all good natured. My Chief has coined my Spyder as "the tricycle." Which technically is wrong, but as they say, the Chief is always right. Again, good natured ribbing all taken in stride, and given back at them equally.

Never thought of it but they definitely look like giant training wheels for a motorcycle and that is hilarious.
