BRP Outboard motors - try again
BRP killed Evinrude outboard motors in 2020. In early August they announced plans to introduce 115 and 150 HP variants of a 3 cylinder, 2 stroke Rotax engine to be used on their pontoon boats. The engine will be mounted horizontally and very low in comparison to conventional outboards. The engine will be enclosed in a water tight housing with 15 bolts. The weight is expected to be 500lbs compared to 377 lbs for a 115 Yamaha. They're even going to use the Evinrude "E-tec" fuel injection technology. One of the justifications for ending Evinrude production was the industry shift away from 2 stroke engines. Never made sense to me, so I guess they'll try again.

Two Cycle Engine
...Now that's a big step in the wrong direction. Two cycles are the engines that pollute all the lakes. Have you experienced this problem at your favorite fishing lake.
Just today I was at the Lake and could see where the Two Cycles were running. The Oil film was everywhere.
Let's try and make the lakes clean again.
Sorry I didn't miss the Two Cycles.
Stay Healthy and Don't drink the water. .... : )

You might find this interesting:
DeltaHawk is developing a 2-stroke diesel aircraft engine.

I bet it never makes it to market. But it will be interesting to watch the 'show!'
