I know. I've had several over the years. It's a crap shoot at best. They work until they quit and they all have features trying to outsell the competition. In my experience find one that doesn't come with the kitchen sink, if you get my drift. Keep it simple. I carry a small one in a flat repair kit that's inexpensive and compact. Never used and hope I never will. There are hundreds out there to choose from and hundreds of opinions. Keep it simple if you can. Good luck.

This one has saved me lots of trouble. It's compact and fits nicely in the rear trunk:

Have been carrying a SuperFlow HV40A2 for several years now. Rigged a 12v weatherproof outlet on the CTX, but on the Spyder it’s easy enough to remove the frunk liner to access the battery. Carry compressor, tools, and rain gear in the frunk. All my family members have one in their autos, as well. Zero problems, so far. Bought from O’Reilly’s.

I got this for my trip in case of a flat. No cords or batteries. Just pop a cartridge and the tire is inflated (after plugging said hole with the plug kit).

My favorite of the bunch is the Dynaplug Micro Pro along with the Dynaplug repair kit.

They do make 115vac air compressors for auto tires, which work much better than 12vdc, so we have no idea what your application might be.

The 12vdc units are slow and can't fully inflate a deflated car tire without burning up, so in my book would not qualify as 'good' or 'decent' unless you buy the ARB units for around $100.

But maybe you just want to occasionally top off your otherwise inflated tires while touring, in which case the dinky ones mentioned here could qualify as 'good' or 'decent'.

For emergency repair of a punctured tire, get the CO2 cartridge repair kit suggested.

I liked that thing. Kinda neat but a bit pricy. Does a 13 limited have an onboard compressor for the rear shock? If so there's the solution.

ST did not get that feature. **Pricy?¿- has more than paid for itself with emergency uses, & otherwise just handy around house, super ez for bailing out family members without much hassle. Just don’t let run or charge too long. Has programmable pressure shut off, not other stops. 81AED3DF-5E68-4361-9CA6-63A1A36A6F2A.jpg added to kit just in case.

If you have any Ryobi 18 volt tools they make a great hand held compressor that is similar, can be caught on sale at home Depot for about $19 without the battery and charger.

This is what I carry. I've only used it once and it worked well. Nice and compact.

I have one of these and it works great. We used it to jump a fellow rider last year on our Smokey Mountains trip and then plugged it into the USB outlet to let it charge while we were riding. Never had to use the compressor on the road but I tested it out at home before we left by deflating my tires when the bike was on the lift and it re-inflated them all back to the required pressures and it didn't take long to do it.

At one time Lamonsters garage was selling a rechargeable one. Do not know if he still offers one.
