Default No headlights on new 2022 Spyder RT - HELP?!

Bought new RT yesterday. Rode this evening before dark. Coming home after dark and no headlights! Don’t want to ride all the way back to the dealer. Help!

ain’t no good manual should have instructions for changing bulbs, after you check fuses & cycle the switch few more times. Dealer might be nice enough for house call giving the safety concerns.

If it's a new Spyder, there's a good chance it's just a fuse or relay that hasn't been seated properly! So I'd check all the fuses & make sure the relay's are properly seated & working; but if that doesn't sort it, DO take it back to your dealer!!!

If you don't use your warranty & it turns out that this is a long-term/more complex issue & you've faffed around trying to sort it for a while yourself, you might end up HAVING to fix something expensive on your own dime!! . All it takes to screw that particular warranty pooch is for you to do/touch the wrong thing, and you might regret it greatly later on!!

    Good Luck!

What Peter says!! Some inconvenience having the problem taken care of by the dealer under warranty is far better than ending up having to pay for it yourself because a bit of DIY voids the warranty.

    Precisely.
And more important, what the hell kind of dealer do you have?
Didn't they do a check of the Spyder before they released it to you?
You may be unfamiliar with Spyders and all their functions
I know you don't want to go to the dealer, but who knows what other systems don't work until you finally get around to trying them yourself.
Just an example, it's warm out. Do the heated seats/handgrips work? You may not find out until November.
Does the windshield travel up and down?
I'd insist on a complete check.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

The 2022 lights are LED, not bulbs. Do check fuses and relays.

It should never have left the shop in that condition. Call the shop and have them come and get it. This is either a warranty issue or a dealer ****up and they need to take responsibility. Can't have you riding a new machine that is lacking a mandated safety feature.

Exactly what everyone else says. You don't even have an option to turn off the headlights. The dealer should have noticed that whenever they started the machine, or at the very least when you started the machine if they were in front or beside you.

To be fair, the headlights could have been working when the Spyder was delivered. That would have been pretty hard to miss.

Also remember, the headlights only turn on when the engine is running, not when you turn the key on. I would start the spyder and then push in on all the relays in the fuse boxes, like someone suggested. Might fix the issue.
