    Default What's the expected milage from Rear brake pads?

    Expected mileage on rear pads, 2015 RTL,SE6, mileage now 16 k, looks good.

    the rear pads do wear faster than the fronts but you can go down to 1mm min thickness. That will translate to different mileages for each individual riding style. Or in other words YMMV

    Mileage varies greatly depending on a lot of factors. The rear brake comes on first and goes off last. This is designed to stabilize the Spyder when braking. But under hard braking, the fronts do the lion's share share of work. Some get very even wear between front and rear. Most get more wear on the rear.

    I've seen OEM pads go from 15k to 25k. Some have gone even further. It just depends. The best thing to do is to check them visually. This will give you an idea of how your riding style affects pad wear.

    Check all 6 pads. If you don't, you can be surprised.

    My OEM brake wear was trash. Less than 10K miles and I need to replace. I may have been brake antsy when I first started riding this machine, but I don't ride the brakes. My 1st inspection had me down to 80% on the front brakes...yeah, I fell for the 3K mile inspection. Anyway, I bought a new set from BajaRon. Hoping they'll last much longer

    I have 35k on my OEM. I haven't checked for remaining pad thickness but I will soon.

    I'm going to give you MY real world mileage .... I now have OVER 40,000 mi. on my rear EBC pads, and still have 1mm of pad left ...... not SWAG, I measured them using a digital caliper. When pads were new they were 4mm, I have used 3mm. That's over 13,000 mi. per MM. ...... I'm not changing mine for at least another 5,000 mi ..... good luck .... Mike

    I've got my new EBC pads and rotors. Just need to get them installed.

    Most of my riding miles have been multi-day trips on back roads and interstates. Virtually no city driving and limited canyon carving. So, the brakes haven't seen much use thus far. That said, whatever shape they are in, they're getting upgraded to EBC pads and rotors for the next 35k!

    The quick and easy answer, about 10k to maybe 25k miles.

    The more you work your Brakes, the faster they wear and less miles you will get. I hope to get the 25k zone.

    Hey guys Tks for imput ,very appreciated 16k barely worn. Ordered Ebc set all around. Miked Fr. .175” Rear .140 .looks like rear inter wearing a tad more than outer. Hope to head for Maggie Valley in Oct D-Daddy
